4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle. Served in a tulip glass, the beer pours a cloudy golden/orange color with a couple inch frothy off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both very good. Aroma is lemon peel, bready/grainy malt, peppery spice, and a bit of clove and grassy hops. I pick up a strong herbal flavor in this brew, along with some lemon peel, peppery spice, grain/bready malt, bananas, and some grassy hops. Very tasty brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s dry and well carbonated. The soft carbonation makes this easy to drink, and quite refreshing. I think this is a good overall brew, I’d definitely buy this again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle from K&L Redwood City. 1 inch of beer and 6 inches of head (that’s what she said) pours out of the bottle into the glass. After awhile it settles down to foamy lace. Great aroma of hay, barnyard, floral hops, and grain. The flavor is also very good. Pale malt and almost no malty sweetness. Slight hop bitterness and great barnyard funk. Awesome feel on this one. Extremely lively carbonation, medium body, and perfect dry mouthfeel. An awesome saison overall. These guys are really impressing me so far.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
My Bottom Line:
This wise Saison provides a stupefying mélange of spicy, doughy yeast, slender cereals and a tropical hoppy twist, all in a well dried out and very drinkable mouthfeel. Wow.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thick head of foam bobs atop the misty golden.
-The fluffy effervescence and dry body make for a superbly authentic mouthfeel.
-The spicy, herbal hop bitterness is levelled with the rest of the flavor profile’s medium intensity.
-This is as accomplished as Odonata’s own Saison, for example.

750ml.Pour light amber with an out of control white head. Had to give the head time to settle. Great nose of citrus , herbal spice, and some bubble gum like sweetness. Great mouthfeel crisp and again from stillwater some nice creaminess. Nice fruit aspect, grapefruit, great herbal notes, and I nice spicy dryness. Incredibly drinkable. This brewery is single handedly making me love saisons.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Dr. Bill for this 750ml bottle.
It’s a clear golden pour with an enormous white, meringue-like, head. The aroma is a bit dusty with some citrus notes. the flavor is smooth and clean.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml, gold foil wrapped bottle from grape & gourmet and once upon a vine southside. pours a gorgeous, hazy yet bright orange gold with a thick, creamy, off-white head and sticky lacing. aroma is great with bright, fresh, spicy herbs, tart pears, and lemon zest backed by sweet hints of peach, funky yeast, and dry, dusty florals. flavor is excellent as well, on the drier, sweeter side of saisons with funky, biscuity yeast, pears, apricot, and lemon peel up front backed wheat crackers, sage, and spicy white pepper with a dry, grassy ending. palate is medium bodied, very crisp, and very refreshing with prickly carbonation and a lingering, dry, fruity finish. overall, an excellent and unique saison. looking forward to trying more beers from these guys.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Strong pear and funk aroma with grass and peach accents. Hazy amber, effervescent, thick yellowish lacing head. Funky and herbal on the front end with pear at midpalate. Rosemary, thistle, and cedar notes are prevalent throughout. Finishes with pale malt. Alcohol is detectable but nicely complimentary. This is certainly a different kind of saison, but IMVHO, one of the absolute best. Nearly perfect!

Spicy, sour, tart, fruity nose. Palate is slightly fruity, slightly sour, with a spicy finish. Pretty darn good.
