In taster at Churchills. Looks dark yellow. White head. Smells like and amber farmhouse. Tastes like a pale farmehouse with bitterness and roughness. Would be a great lawnmower beer. Overall 7.5 of 10.

HAzy orange body, white head. Aroma of ginger, perppers, spices and yeast. Flavour is spicy, floury, yeasty with some orange blossoms. Quite unorthodox and couldn’t catch the clue of this beer.

Hazy orange golden layered color with frothy ivory foam. Awesome dry hay, dry spice, dusty pale malt, dry cracker aromas. Smooth light mouthfeel. Awesome dusty pale malt, dry spice, dry cracker flavors with a lightly sweet fruitiness--simply awesome brew

Appearance: cloudy straw with white bubbles around the edges with broken patches in the middle.
Nose: sour lemons, dried grass, hay, and farmyard funk. Lemon peel and pith. Brushed leather – shammy. White pepper and grains of paradise.
Palate: smooth and medium bodied. Sweet with a dry and bitter finish. Hay and straw in the finish – bitter lemon. Key lime, bitter peel. White pepper. Kumquat.
Final Thoughts: a solid saison. Clean crisp and straightforward profile to make any Belgian saison aficionado content.

750 ml bottle. A hazy medium to dark blonde beer, with a huge, frothy, lacing, fully lasting white head. The aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs, grass), lightly to moderately yeasty (earth, must/mold), with notes of pepper, lemon, orange, grape, perhaps a touch of mint and coriander. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with moderate bitterness. Excellent stuff, complex. drinkable, quaffable, not over the top example, it feels almost completely Belgian, not overly spicy, Rustic and satisfying.

750 ml bottle purchased a little over a year ago at Holiday Wine Cellar ($11.29). Pours a honey-orange hue with huge fluffy white head (started coming out of the bottle when I opened it) with good retention. Aroma of dusty malts, musty horseblanket, yeast, some caramel, and some fruit. Flavor of tasty caramel, bready malts, citrus-y fruit, tangy peppery spice, and some yeast. Dry-ish finish. Decent saison, but not much interesting or exciting here. For the price, I think it should be much better. (329, 635)

Numerous bottles and most recently a cask pour at Avenue Pub. Rating the cask version. Super cloudy orange golden with a sudsy white head. Nose is spices, yeast, citrus, esters. Flavor is similar, a little grass, flowers, quite estery. Slightly dry, slightly sweet finish. A little different each time I have it but always enjoyable.

Bottle 750ml @ Håndverkerstuene, Oslo
[Courtesy of abemorsten] Pours cloudy orange/deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, pepper and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long light spicy finish of black peppers. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

750 bottle. Pours bright hazy yellow with a small white head. Nose is fresh citrus, some yeastiness, a slight bit of horseblanket. Taste is very refreshing, with similar flavors as the nose. Light bodied and well carbonated. Goes down easy. Similar to the best Belgian farmhouse ales. Well done.
