3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by Turdferguson, I think. Thanks, Sam. Dark golden, almost orange pour. Nose shows classic saison characteristics.... yeast and white pepper and a little more malt than expected, which really shows in the taste. Much too sweet for the style. Not bad, but not what I hoped for.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 A: Hazy golden-orange body. One finger white fluffy head quickly receded before forming a frothy skim. Not much in the way of lacing.
S: Dominated by a light tart-funkyness. Juicy notes of orange, lemon and honey are present as well as some light pepper and yeast.
T: Somewhat different from the nose... the juicy and funky notes really took a back seat to a dry hoppy bitterness. Lemon zest, pepper and yeast were most prominant ... smelled more like a fantome style beer, tasted more like hennepin.
M: Moderate carbonation keeps the beer moving on the tongue... light-medium bodied with a nice crisp, refreshingly dry finish.
O: All said, a very nice effort from Stillwater... impressive for a first release and one I hope to be able to enjoy for some time to come.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle from willblake, thanks Jon. Poured a clear rusty orange body with lots of rising carbonation and a large frothy bright white head. Aroma of grains, yeast, light spice, and a hint of funk. Fuller body then I was expecting with lots of large bubly carbonation and a dry finish. Flavors of grains, yeast, fruity funkiness, and hops on the finish. Very solid first effort and I’m looking forward to supporting Brian and his brewing journey for many years to come.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Hazy gold beer. Good frothy white head. Light dry palate. Nice tangy fruit - a little orange and some dried fruit, noticeably apricots. Very slightly sour. A little soft and dry in the finish. Has a little hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Location: Bottle at Max and Andy’s Fantasy Tasting, 5/1/10
Aroma: The nose has some notes of grain/yeast, earth, and some citrus too
Appearance: It pours into the glass a hazy golden-orange color
Flavor: The flavor is citrusy, some sweetness, and a good hoppiness to it as well
Palate: Relatively full bodied, with a nice feel to it, and a dry finish
This was a very solid saison overall. A beer I enjoyed drinking, and something I would drink again. It is kind of funny that I had to move away from MD before I tried this one, but hey, it works that way sometimes.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared at Dickinsonbeer’s Saison tasting. Pours bright gold with a white head. Hoppy fruity aroma with some spicy/yeasty saison-esque notes. The flavor has a solid hop presence, fruity and a bit floral, some lighter earthy notes, and some spicy, lightly funky yeasty notes. Really good.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by nuplastikk...thanks Greg! - Pours orangish-amber with a small white head. Light cloves and spice on the nose, with some grassiness and melon. Taste is hay and light wheat, with light grassy hops and light spice. Slick and medium-bodied, this is pleasant but not a standout.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Courtesy of northernbrews. Cloudy orange, buge rocky head, tiny carbonation bubbles. Great aroma, lots of stone fruit, light floral character, faint mustiness. Flavor much the same with some residuel sweetness in the finish, detracts a little. Creamy smooth palate. Well done.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2010 Courtesy of northernbrews
Bottle: The aroma is very floral along with notes of yeast, citrus, pepper, and a touch of mustiness. It pours a hazy, bordering on cloudy, golden-orange with a large white head that takes awhile to fade. The flavor starts very citrusy and lightly sweet with a hint of lemon. The finish is moderately floral with hints of pepper and mustiness. Ligjt-medium bodied with lively soft carbonation.
