Tap @ blue monk. Georgeous copper with a beautiful white pillow head. Nose is beautiful herbal and floral nose. Some light caramel & almost nutty malt, a little lemon. Stellar. Flavor is lemon, amazing floral and herbal. Light caramel malt with fucking amazing yeast. Just so fucking good.

Bottle: pours a gold color with a very large head and plenty of carbonation. The nose is full and fresh with a heavy biscuity malt note, earthy dry yeast and a light noble hop dusting. Balanced flavor with a chewy body and rather lively mouthfeel as well. Seems very belgian in style but it’s obviously "stateside".

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2010 [3281-20100803] Sample. Mild orange aroma, not a lot going on but not bad. Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick creamy white head. More subdued orange in the flavour that seems like heavy citrus. Thick and full body is bitter throughout. Seems too heavy and cloddy. (5/4/7/3/13) 3.2

[3481B-20101120] Tap. Light apples and plastic aroma. Clear, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour of yeasty apples and a lingering aftertaste. Medium body. Could be lighter and more saisony. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Big huge pour with a ton of bubbles and a massive frothy head. Big sweet yeasty notes on the nose, a ton of spice and banana. Taste was a typical saison, very earthy, but with a ton of carbonation that carries through to the finish. Very drinkable once it settles, as well as complex, picking up some funkiness on the end. Very good, glad i grabbed this from the bottom of the fridge.

Pours golden orange topped with a medium sized off white head. Appealing aroma; coriander and white pepper are focal notes, with earthy hops and apricot adding complexity. Flavor is a bit more mellow than the aroma. Mild spice and floral hops hit the palate first. These are joined by white pepper, wheat, coriander, tropical fruit, and herbs. Medium body, with active carbonation that scrubs the palate. I brought a bottle of this to my wedding tasting, and it matched very nicely with a broad variety of foods.

At a tasting, thanks DSG: floral, earthy, some honey, some lemon grass, guava, prickly pear, green leaves/grassy notes, some dryness, spicy, cake yeast, very carbonated, very much like sparkling wine, very tingling, very good beer.

Draft at Duckworth’s in Mooresville last night. Good Saison, I actually thought it was a bit sweet, but maybe it was what I was eating. Thumbs up.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks Ambar for bringing me this one from the States! Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, some fruit esters, some hoppiness and some malt. Sweetish fruity flavor with some yeast and a drier, bitter finish with a bit of citrus and light alcohol notes. A bit over-carbonated.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, medium stable creamy had, hazy light orange colour, aroma of lemon, mandarine, apricot, flavour of aromatic tea, some lemon and a touch of rose petals, all enveloped by an overpowering and a little brutal bitterness. Could be nice but overall unbalanced.
