Poured into a tulip glass. Lots of head... three or four fingers. I tried a different glass with an even slower pour with the same result. It’s a hazy, golden color. Smells like honey, a flower bouquet, lemon and apricot. Light malt taste with accompanying sweetness, ripe fruit (apricot and plum). Lots of bubbles, crisp and smooth with medium body. Besides all the foam in the pour it’s a great beer. Bright and fruity, but not a fruit beer.

Bottle shared with JMD at Cardinal after Mi2 04.05.15. Cloudy dark straw colour. Foamy, dense and persistent off-white head. Complex aroma of fresh grass, English hops, barn and succade. Similarly superb taste. Excellent drinkability.

On draft at Dram last night with Erica and Danielle. Pour was dark grainy gold with a big snowy white head (no bubbles). Aroma hoppy yeasty. Bitter-hoppy grainy yeasty palate, sweet, medium- or long-legged. Not as airy or bretty as remembered.

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A hazy golden amber coloured pour with a huge fluffy white head on top. Floral, herbal, citrus aroma. Tastes similar, floral, herbal, citrus, zesty and slightly sour. Quite refreshing and drinkable.

Saison bella profumata, rustica il giusto, forse non tantissimo acida ma buona. Frutta gialla e spezie al naso, con un bel sapore di erba sul finale. Birra buona, che si lascia bere senza problemi. Ottima

355 ml bottle from Les Vignerons. Dark gold, perfectly clear, with a big, fluffy, forever lasting bright white head. Complex nose: floral and perfumy upfront (lavander, chamomile), then slightly nutty and toasted (caramel, dark honey), then herbal and slightly fruity (freshly cut grass, peach and papaya). Mild yeast influence in the background. Much more straightforward taste: modertely sweet in the beginning, subtle astringency and bitterness in the middle. Less floral and more fruity taste wise, clean and lingering malty and grassy aftertaste. Average carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. Nice if quite forgettable.

Bottle from Mitsuya’s in Asagaya. Pours a hazy golden color with a modest off-white soapy head that dissipates fairly quickly. Tart apple, lemon zest and iyokan on the nose with a light hint of yeast and pepper. Medium body with a slightly oily mouthfeel. Weird taste of ammonia with a hit of rubbing alcohol. Not sure if this bottle was tainted or not. As it warmed up some of the harshness disappears and the apple, pear and pepper become more pronounced.

Bottle poured a hazy orange hue w/ insanely enormous rocky white head and sticky lacing. Bold citrus and malt aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a light sour finish. Tastes are tangerine, peach, malt, straw, and horse blanket. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
