Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate yeasty, lemon, apricot, coriander, pepper, fruity, spicy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, coriander - peppery notes. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100522]

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Hazy gold beer. Good frothy white head. Light dry palate. Nice tangy fruit - a little orange and some dried fruit, noticeably apricots. Very slightly sour. A little soft and dry in the finish. Has a little hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottle courtesy of Brian the Brewer at pre-ZBF 2010 - thank you once again, Brian! Hazy golden color, edge head, nice lacing. Aroma of orange peel and vanilla. Taste has plenty of malts, subtle hops, excellent balance. Slight bitterness in the finish. Nice brew, as good as the oaked version.
