On tap at The Archive for Armakeggon. Cloudy amber, a bit too sour fruit for my tastes.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle at Bar Volo, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy golden with a small white head that remains and leaves no lace. The nose has notes of citrus and pale malts, along with spice, yeast, earth and subtle flowers. The flavour is mildly sweet and subtly tart with fruit and a moderate citric, spicy hoppiness. The finish is moderate in length with spicy, piney notes. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, a nice saison with IPA notes, complex and hoppy. 2014-09-13

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy deep gold, surprisingly small fading white foam. Both very yeasty and hoppy nose boasting generous pear/peach/banana fairly tropical esters, rich breadiness and highly floral and citrusy hops. A deeper dig unveils soft medicinal phťnols and an eucalyptus tang, especially once it warms up. Dry palate, lean body with a certain crispiness to it thanks to its tight small bubbles. A less refined Taras Boulba, with a similarly mineral and dry profile complemented by a pleasant tart touch. Itís a flavor profile I really dig, but made here quite rougher with the tougher, slightly resinous bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
BTLD 08/23/13, so a year ago, probably past itís prime but Iím not sure given the base. Nose is sweet and yeasty (Belgian, does have some Orval notes) with citric hops. Pours pale and slightly hazy yellow with a large and soapy off-white head on slow but abundant carbonation. In the mouth itís dry and cleansing, some alcohol heft, lightly chalky, strong lemony citrus with yeasty coating, minerals, light spiking hop accents. Smooth refreshing medium body, creamy but a little light at times. Floral, lightly peppery, straw with faint spice and herbal/grassy hop character, yeast carries the day in the end. Even without super-fresh hops, a welcome post-lawnmower beer, vivacious; I think I just donít like the style.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle sample at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Ariel. Slightly hazy yellow-golden with a white head. Floral and soapy aroma, spicy, yeasty, with mild hops. Rather dry flavor with faint sweetness, yeast, flowers, some spiciness and pretty strong bitterness. Medium-bodied.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Pours clear gold with a thin head. Grassy dank hops, light spicy peppery yeast, low sweetness, and a nice bitter grassy hops finish. Just a touch thin, but otherwise great.

Bottle at ōltorget, may 28th 2014. Hazy orange body with a small fading white head. Funky aroma with tropical fruits, coriander, prunes. Hoppy taste of citrus, peach, light sweetness, peppery yeast, herbs and a little caramel. Zesty and dry finish, with a good lasting bitterness. A nice one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft... Clear golden pour with a mid-sized, flimsy, white head. Great retention and determined lacework that clings stubbornly to the inside of my glass. The yeast and hop-driven nose is a complex collection of grapefruit, pine, clove, pink bubblegum and tropical fruits with a light cat piss-like component. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor offers spicy and fruity hop bitterness, and mild, spicy phenols. Finishes earthy and modestly bitter.
