On tap at Stubbys. Simply a great name for a beer, but a name does not make a great beer. Straw to golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma starts out nice with dank notes and pine then moves on to fruits and sweeter malts and finishes up with Belgian yeast that simply seems out of place. Yeah I know, itís a Belgian IPA but the yeast just takes over a bit too much for me. Taste is sweet with toasted malt, mild fruit/citrus and a mild bitter and yeasty finish.

A blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, grassy malt with a very citrusy and floral hops, catty notes, complex yet smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light floral and citrusy hops, well balanced, and smooth all the way. Sampler at Battle of the Belgians at Jimmys 43.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and dry floral hops - like a cross between an IPA and light Belgian ale. Flavour is very dry and florally, with light Belgian yeast, biscuity / crackery malt, and floral hops. Exceedingly dry, lightly bitter and lightly yeast. Finishes with a light astringency. Very high drinkability and refreshing. Great stuff.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with a big rocky white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is wheaty malts with resiny hops and some spicy belgian yeast and some tropical fruit.
The flavor is sweet bready malts with some funky spicy yeast and a little fruit and a pretty big bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of sharp carbonation.
Overall, a solid spicy Belgian IPA. It has good bitterness, but the spice and funk overwhelm the hop flavors.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear pale gold with a thick foamy white head. The aroma smells like pure leaf hop cones with a touch of lemony bitterness. The flavor is actually kinda balanced and mild, though semi full bodied, with leaf hops, lemon rind, and a dry pale base malt finish. Clearly focused on leafy hops up front.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lemony yellow,fairly fizzy,light head.
ARoma has some bananna/bubblegum, light grassyness, light breadiness. Pear, white grape, light pineapple. Taste is kinda tart, citrus,clove-at times, lemon, tart lemony finish. Kinda a neutral malt/non existing malt flavor overrided by a tart lemony citrus dominating bitter/flavor. Strong citrus lemon bitter.Mildly complex. Almost would say its a sour. My understanding is this is a belgian pale ale. Probably not the hop choices I would like in a pale ale, mostly lemony citrusy-comes across as just a tart lemony sour almost. Decent beer-not big on this style these days as least the american belgian ales. Kinda like a tart/sour belgian blonde.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, very hazy orange golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big sweet orange, grapefruit, lots of sugary biscuit, caramel in there, some white fruits, into a touch of pear, white grape. Taste is a mix of very sweet orange, white grape, pear, hints of grass, pine, slight earth, hints of clove and coriander, finishing slightly sweet, dry, and spicy.

Bottle at the cheese shop in Des Moines, smells almost like a Chardonnay - with a lil hop. Citrus and foral notes and overall quite refreshing.

Bottle @ The BeerMongers... Poured hazy, pale yellow with a white head. Nice lacing and mild retention. Mild esters with hop spicing and earthiness on the nose. Good drinking IPA. Citrus and resinous spice with mild esters, some grainy sweetness but not terribly heavy on malt or bitterness. Also, nothing too crazy as far as complexity. Just a fine drinking beer.
