New Year’s Eve tasting Flight (2 of 3 9:15p) - bottled. Big white foamy head. Light color. But, cloudy body. Hoppy aroma, though not "In your face" hoppy. Most definitely hops in the flavor though. Lots of pine resin, even lingering on the palate. A bit of a heavy mouth feel. When I taste this, I’m not thinking Belgium. OK, so after it warmed a little, now I’m tasting a yeasty backbone behind the hops. Much more Belgiany now.

the taste is what kills it. not much flavor and a sour bitterness that’s gross.

from a 33cl btl. Pours a hazy amber with a very small and vanishing white head. (Bad sign) Aroma of light hops and citrus. Flavors of citrus hops, yeast, herbs and spices. Light carbonation, light bitterness, and mouth feel. More of a simple IPA than a Belgian Ale. Probably true that it Can’t IBU. The Label is Blurry cause this one won’t make you drunk. The only positive thing about it, is that it’s quite refreshing, somewhat simple tasty. Nice but nothing great.

12oz bottle shared by Pizz5116 after work (Christmas Squad beers round 2). Poured a hazy pale yellow color with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, and bready malts. Taste of white bread, citrus zest, grapefruit, and light hints of belgian yeast.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a fluffy white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has combines Belgian yeast, grass, a bit of earthy citrus and light grains well. Flavor starts with grass, Belgian yeast and grains but finishes with bitter citrus and pine.

Bottle from Total Wine, served at about 50 degrees. At $2.99, a steal!

Pretty beer: cloudy yellow pour with a fluffly white head. Lovely aroma; dusty yeast and lemon peel hops meld very nicely into something that is super-enticing. Flavor is amply hopped, lots of white grapefruit juice with a decided belgian flavor--but none of the esters that mar so many US "Belgian ipas". Instead, this is a beer in something of the De Ranke XX vein, and a very nice one. Dry, dusty, delicious. It packs a huge amount of flavor for 5.7% and feels plenty full on the tongue. You could easily have convinced me it was 7 or 8 percent. Great beer if you are in the mood for a hop blast. I’m astounded that it isn’t rated higher on here.
