A very nice aroma, not too sweet, with a bit of caramel and some citrus. The flavor has a nice sweetness up front and then gets quite bitter on the swallow. Perfectly balanced, dry and refreshing.

Draft at J. Clyde. Pours golden with an inch of thick white foam. Big grass notes on the nose. Very grassy and spicy on the tongue plus there’s some of that Belgian yeast thing as well. The hop flavor in the finish lingers a bit. Very nice!

Draft at the Birch. Attractive and alluring with its very light golden color and active carbonation. The aroma is equally seductive, citric and sweet. This drinks with a full-on citrus acidity, perhaps a bit grassy, with a lip-smacking tangy finish. (#4882, 12/31/2012)

I’ll start by saying I’m not a huge Stillwater fan so I was a little concerned paying $9/glass at Churchkey. This was on cask. Obviously the same stillwater signature saison yeast but a nice body maybe a little under attenuated making it seem more like a golden ale vs. saison. slightly cloudy with big bitterness followed by fresh Citra finish. I would call this a Belgian IPA. Very good....I had a dozen beers at Churchkey over 2 nights and this one stood out as the best.

Cask. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a large, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy lime zest, fragrant coconut and flowers with a straw malt with tropical fruity esters. Flavor is heavy hops and medium bitterness with fruity esters, lightly astringent, straw malt and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

A hazy golden orange pour with a tall white head. Nose opens up with a nice sweet banana aroma. Plenty of citrus and floral hops, some yeast, and sweet bread. There’s a hint of tropical fruit, too. The flavor has a very nice fruit character of pineapple, mango, and citrus. Sweet bread, a hint of sugar, and some yeast. Floral hops in the background with a touch of banana ester. Very nice.

Draft at DoG Street Pub. Cloudy gold pour with a short foamy white head. Happy aroma with floral notes, yeast, citrus fruit and soft malt. Taste is big floral hops, tropical and citrus fruit, soft yeast, light earthiness, sourdough, and light funky tartness. Body is medium with spritzy, lively carbonation. Ends with more citrus, floral hops, tropical fruit, yeast, soft malt and light funkiness. More IPA than Belgian ale but tasty nonetheless!
