glkaiser (904), Seattle, Washington, USA Nov 11, 2007 Dark cloudy golden with thin head. Wheat aroma with a bit of citrus and fruit. Light bodied. OK. gotohelunc (347), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 3, 2007 Draft. Cloudy dark orange color. Mild fruity nose with more roasted undertones than most hefe’s. The taste is almost as much pale ale as hefe with caramel flavors blending with citrus and hops. Interesting, but doesn’t leave a clean feeling in the mouth. Interesting, and a good effort, but not quite perfect. Bradrcr (554), Renton, Washington, USA Sep 27, 2007 9/26/07 On draught at Larry’s brewing supply, Kent, Wa. Aroma is caramel and fruity esters forward. Appearance is a hazy gold with a good off-white head. Flavor is very fruity banana with very light malt character. Mouthfeel is fairly watery with medium body and almost no carb bite. Overall, very easy drinking, but definitely needs more texture and bite. Crit (2234), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Jun 20, 2007 Amber in color, loose beige head. Lightly spiced banana nose.More banana in the taste, but quite thin and undercarbonated. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 19, 2007 Hazy dark amber colour. Somewhat loose head. The aroma is of banana, cinnamon and pale malt. As it warms it really picks up some Schneidery yeast notes. The body is thin and this does it great disservice on the palate as it comes across slightly toasty & fruity but gutless. Weissbier needs sugars. The finish is watery. Not sure how many of these I could sink.
