1500th RB rating entered for Germany. Bottle marked 15.01.13. Nose of heavy with with citrus and some yeast. Faint hint of acetone. Cloudy, bright yellow body with a soapy white head. Very aggressive, crisp light body with medium bitterness (and a little astringency, too much for a HW in any case) and light tartness, light numbing. Good citrus and very bright, with some cream. Positives here despite the flaws.

Bottled (from landbierparadies.com). Hazy yellowish orange colour, mediumsized white creamy head, that leaves a bunch of lace. Aroma is very big on the banana estery notes, some slight citrus and mild nectary notes. After pouring the yeast the aroma loses some of the fruity and nectary notes and turns more herbal and yeasty with some mild spicy notes. Flavour is fruity, bananaish, citrusy and mild resiny notes, after yeast gets in the sweetness mellows out into a nice slightly spicy yeastyness along with the wheat, toffee and mild fruity notes. Big citrusy and toffeeish finiish. A bit too "biting" carbonation, otherwise a nice wheat beer.

It’s unclear, light golden with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of wheat, yeast, clove and banana. The sweet flavour has a rather dominating clove/yeast note, but also fruit, wheat, but only little banana. The strong clove note is dominating the finish too, and lasts a long time into the finish.

Part of the Nurnberg Beer Raid 2011. On tap at the 14.Fränkisches Bierfest in Nurnberg , Germany. Is a milky white banana yellow with a foamy white head. Taste a fine smooth hefe, with lots of bananas, cloves and hefe. Palate is right on the mark. A very nice hefe!!

Bottle: Unclear, golden, quite loose big white head; wheat, toasted malt (!) and a tinge of hops in the nose; quite light bodied, spicy sourish-sweetish and also bitter flavour; barley- and wheat-malty finish, followed by citrousy hops in the aftertaste. Good, uncommon franconian Weizen......
