Cask, Leicester Beer Festival 2015. Very dark brown with a beige bubbly head. Aromas are coffee and liquorice with weetabix. Dark chocolate with raisins and blackberries. Earthy with peppery yeast. Flavours are dry and woody with earthy coffee. Mellow blackcurrant with herbal liquorice. Low woody bitterness. Decent.

Cask at The Watford Beer Festival 2012. Poured a really dark amber, with a rocky beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, roasted malt and blackcurrant. Dates in the flavour, with some peat and earthy notes. Finish was coffee, burnt malt and molasses.

Gravity Cask at Somerset Camra 2014 Minehead Beer festival. Poor, not in condition it seemed, Overcarbonated and not pleasant. Would like to try it in tip top condition. Did improve as it settled down whilst drinking it slowly.

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, ash, dark roasted, smoke. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, sweet malt, smoked notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130813]

Cask at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours lightly cloudy brown with a creamy head. The nose has lightly tangy malts, some cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with dark bread, faint chocolate, dirt and toast. Light in body with fine carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish with mild cocoa and earthy bitterness. Simple effort here.

Cask @ GBBF 2013. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and caramel finish.

Cask at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Mid black with a good frothy tan head. Nose is roast malts, dark fruits, light sour notes (intentional or not!), touch soapy, chocolate. Taste is thinnter than the aroma, mineral tones, dark fruit, dark toffee fudge, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry lightly roasted finish. Ok stout.

GBBF Day 1. Murky dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light smooth palate. Mild fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, light smoke. Little dark fruits. Okay.
