Jfishback13 (271), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA Feb 22, 2004 If the beer ended how it started it would be one of my favorites. Of course for like 5 bills a sixpack, it's one of the best bargains out there. It starts off nice and dark... sesame flavors as well as chocolate. The beer ends quite thin though. After drinking it I want more to get the rich flavor again.
The_Captain (280), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle - Another found at Trader Joes. Poured a light carbonation dark color. A sweet mild stout, some roasted malt quality and light chocolate notes. A steal at 6 for $6 and not a bad stout just nothing really outstanding with this one. Mild good drinker. fidel (119), Livermore, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 Dark brown, roasted malts, dark chocolate coffee, chocolate, slight nut, and oatmeal. deltamarik (50), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Aug 9, 2008 One of the advantages of moving to the Midwest: being able to get this at Trader Joe’s for $6/6-pack. You won’t find a better beer for the price. Maybe not the equal of a Sam Smith, but on a grad student budget, it’s nice to know that someone’s looking out for you. DubC5000 (143), San Diego, California, USA Aug 8, 2008 Deeply brown and red to the eye. Malt, coffee, sugarcane and maple on the nose, with a densely coffee malt flavor; aftertastes of dark chocolate and oatmeal. Very smooth, with neither excessive bite nor slime. Chewy. Extremely enjoyable, great as a late dessert with or without a brownie. stchloe (96), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 4, 2008 When poured and tasted from a bottle tastes almost from a nitrogen tap. Thick heavy body.
