It’s dark red mahogany with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, syrup, caramel and nuts. The flavor is moderately sweet to sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, syrup, light nuts and bread, and the finish is slightly dry and bitter.

Geruch malzsüß mit etwas Kaffee. Antrunk süßlich, malzige Spuren. Schokoladig-würzige Aspekte im Mittelteil, während der Abgang einige Bitterzüge vorweist. Solides Dunkles.Test vom 2.10.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Dark shiny ruby red color, with a little foam and a lot of CO2. Smells roasted malty and sweet, with caramel nuances in background. The beginning part is pleasantly malty and roasty, with sweet caramel nuances. The aftertaste shows more coffee bitter, malty and slightly bitter chocolatey. The center part is also bitter coffee, subtle chocolaty becoming, with increasingly intense malt-body.

0.5 l bottle. Reddish brown color. Sweetish, toffeish and bready aroma. The flavors of toffee, caramel and dark bread. A bit too sweet for me. Fairly high carbonation. A bit too sweet and toffeish for me.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. A bit too much apple presence in the nose to my liking. Good head retention and lacework. Creamy palate. Nice hop profile. Late bitterness. A lot of walnut components throughout. Long complex nutty finish. A beer with plenty of character. Definitely a good beer of its kind. Thanks a lot Stefan!

Bottle. Sweet caramel and burnt sugar malt aroma. Dark brown color with small head. Sweet toffee/chocolate malt flavor. Medium body. Pretty tasty but on the light side.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and a hint of apple syrup in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with a touch of roast and molasses. Friendly dunkel without much depth.

Bottle (kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!): Clear, amber coloured, bigger persistent off-white head with a little lace; deep caramelly-malty nose, not so sweet, with a light "woody" hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft; light, slightly lingering caramelly finish with some bitter notes in the aftertaste. Very good start, average finish........

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a thick and tanned foamy head. Sweet and moderately toasted malty aroma with shy herbal hoppy notes. Sweet and faint bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Toasty malty and a bit sugary taste with caramel; sweetish and slightly toasty bitter finish with just a whiff of herbal hops. A bit sweet but still likeable Dunkel. 09.IX.09
