At a tasting, thanks eyes_wide_shut and YK23, small creamy head, a bit hazy pale lemon yellow, citrusy aroma with mint, rosmery and sage, some white fruit in the back, citrusy piercing sour and bitterness, semr light malty sweetness in the back, long strong, sour bitter aftertaste. Fresh and excellent.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz (STONE) bottle. Vintage 2012. Light orange color. Thin, rocky, white head. Aroma of a sage flavored, white pizza. Noticeable thyme in the nose, along with some oregano-like florals. I love rosemary flavored breads. Soft scents of fresh herbs is a nice way to welcome me to this glass. Nice malt backbone, like most Stone beers. Flavor of water with a very high mineral content. Salty & herbal. Flavors of herbs like rosemary, mostly sage, some thyme, nice hops. Finishes with a spicy bite. Tingling bitterness, some bitter citrus rind, and sage. Loads of herbs with nice hops. Its a Herbal American Pale!

Bottle. Stone lead version. Similar aroma to the other two versions with earthy herbal notes. I would say this is the hoppiest of the three versions. Very nice collaboration between Stone, Dogfish and Victory.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My third of the three, nice trifecta. Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice, two centimetre white head. Aroma of very nice hay, grass, yeast, lemons, spices (sage, coriander seed, chervil) and a nice sweetness. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal flavours at first with a lot of alcohol noticeable, some lemons and a bit of yeast. Aftertaste shows bunches of spices - sage, spruce, coriander seed and a lot of hops perceptible. Overall, a nice saison that shows bunches of spices, a good yeast flavour and surprisingly the best of the bunch. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hi-Time Spirits in Costa Mesa, California on 05-August-2012 for US$2.97 sampled at home in Washington on 14-February-2013.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks eyes_wide_shut and YK23. Pours hazy amber with white head. Sage, lavender, grass and hempseed oil aroma. Herbal, bitter, camomile tea and earthy taste. Medium body, very spicy finish but delicate. Really tasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours lightly cloudy, golden with a well retained egg white colored head. Aromas og ginger and cloves. Flavor is over the top spices. I like full throttle hop beers but not so much full throttle spice beers. Give me a Saison DuPont any day!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. The look is golden in color with a white head. The smell is very spiced, yeasty, thyme, rosemary, too heavy handed. The taste is much the same. Different and ok but not special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz 2012 bottle served in a Unibroue snifter. Pours a yellow-gold color; clear at first, but after a few sips I added most of the rest of the bottle which had a good bit of sediment. Appears to have very fine, natural carbonation.
Aroma: funky, yeasty, hoppy, weedy, herbal aroma. Taste is similar but even more weedy/herbal. Lightly tart; neither sweet nor bitter.
O: very interesting and very different from a ístandardí lager, but refreshing and not challenging. Will seek a replacement bottle or 2 for aging.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the best Saisons. Very refreshing. Hints of thyme and rosemary come through. Not as earthy as other Saisons which is a good thing.
