COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a saison of sorts; hellaciously herbaceous and hopefully contagious. This was not a ready made ale. But it is a ready made collaboration. Meaning Stone and Victory are 2 breweries that are exactly like Dogfish in that they do/brew exactly what they love and they do/brew it exactly like no other brewery out there. (Love - lots of it in this bottle)

-Samuel A Calagione

Ale brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.

yellow color, aroma of spices, citrus fruits, yeast, same flavors, grassy hops, sage, spice up front, rosemary on the finish, slightly sweet coriander at the end with some hops, pretty good brew

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2013 Draught at Standings. An interesting collaboration beer. Spicy, cirtusy, herby. Not your typical saison but definitely an interesting beer.

A great herbaceous minty saison with a hint of sage. Pours a nice small head I a golden haze. Lightly hoppy farmhouse with a nice finish on the palate. Brave collab. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy golden yellow with frosty white foam head. Aroma is fruity, taste is low bitter but spicy, peppery even. Long aftertaste in particular on back of tongue. Interesting beer. (Houston 201301)

12oz bottle poured into snifter glass. 2012 version. Pours a murky orange color with a creamy white head that disappates within a few minutes but leaves lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of hops, parsley, sage, and cloves. Very earthy and VERY fresh! Hops come through strong in the taste with the spices mentioned and malts. This is A LOT of flavor! You pretty much have to be ready for this and really love earthy/spice aroma and taste to enjoy this beer fully. I’ve had this specific bottle I am rating cellared for the past three months and it still smells and tastes like the hops and spices were just picked within a few days ago! Long, pronounced bitter hoppy and malty finish. Full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. I really love this beer! This season, (2012), I have scored several of the Victory at Keg Liquors in Clarksville, IN. Dogfish Head at Jungle Jim’s in Cincinnati, OH. And finally the Stone at Charleston Beer Exchange in Charleston, SC. And I can say that all three are perfect! Can’t wait until the 2013 version comes out!

Pours hazy orange with a white rocky head. The aroma has lots of spices, floweriness, herbs, mild maltiness, plastic and a bit of earthy yeast. It has a mediium grainy body with full carbonation. The flavor starts with woodiness, musty malt, minor spices, herbal traits and biere de garde style must. The finish is astringent and has light fruit. Decent, but I think this may be a bit old and seen better days.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy yellow-tan body. Thin, lacy white head. Mellow golden malt backbone, clean and nice...well, clean until the big, peppery Saison yeast and the herbal flavors added. I’m not really a fan of the spiced American Saison, but this one is anchored in quality and good execution. Sort of like a DFH, maybe an odd Stone...not sure where Victory came in. Solid beer overall.

Interesting. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with a light white head. Smells fruity, herby and some hops. Taste is a good mix between hops and fruit. Not too much aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[5004-20121208] Tap. Mild apple cleaner aroma. Clear, light pink orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Fruity saison-like cleaner product flavour has a lot of something like coriander, which I dislike. Light-medium body. Not a fan. (6/3/6/3/12) 3.0-

Complex aroma of saison yeast, sage, rosemary. Golden pour, no head. Has a funky malty flavor but saison yeast and spices poke through. Delicious ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
