COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a saison of sorts; hellaciously herbaceous and hopefully contagious. This was not a ready made ale. But it is a ready made collaboration. Meaning Stone and Victory are 2 breweries that are exactly like Dogfish in that they do/brew exactly what they love and they do/brew it exactly like no other brewery out there. (Love - lots of it in this bottle)

-Samuel A Calagione

Ale brewed with parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.

12 oz. bottle, pours cloudy yellow with a big white head. Big barnyard funk, citrus and hay on the nose. Flavour is full of both citrus fruits and plenty of coriander, with a noticeable funkiness that kicks in later and a slightly sour, yeasty and citrusy finish. Crisp, clean, refreshing palate. Very solid.

thanks to Dionysus! Gold pour. small head. Aroma of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme! Mostly parsley. Flavor is lemons, parsley and sage. Interesting beer and would be a great food beer.

Scopey (10641) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 3, 2011
Bottle from Brewdog Bar, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy straw yellow with high carbonation and a large foamy white head. The nose is hay, pepper, nut, lemon sherbet and wood polish. The taste is citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon and lime zest, peach and pear), lots of green herbs (thyme and sage), yeast, pine, grass and hay. It all culminates in a very herbal, bitter finish. It’s an interesting and enjoyable saison.

Bottle... Lightly hazy golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head that never fully dissipates. The nose is big-time herbal – rosemary, sage, fresh basil and white pepper… smells like my wife’s herb garden. Medium-bodied with a mildly oily mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The flavor offers sweet pale malts, freshly boiled herbs and ballsy hop bitterness. Herbal, bitter, drying finish. Refreshing and unique. Kick ass saison. Bottle courtesy of giarcsr!

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2011 On draught at Mellow Mushroom. This beer is a hazy golden color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and spices along with some malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, bready malt, herbs and hops. The finish is hoppy and fruity with a lightly spiced aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Bottle at Cole’s, Mike’s private collection. Great lace on light body. The aromas are a delightful, funky and fresh. More complex as I drink it, and that has to be done sip by sip. The herbs lead to a soup of tastes, still lemony and bitter, with white paper and the rosmary and sage. Above average mouthfeel and approachable by averge

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2011 Bottle @ home. Light yellow-orange body with a medium off-white head. Huge floral, lightly piney, slightly soapy hoppy, light belgian yeasty, lemon aroma. Floral, lemon, belgian yeasty flavor with a tangy, soapy finish. The first time I had this series, I really didn’t like the idea of over hopping a saison but it’s truly not as bad as I rated it.
