2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 jzzbassman (1362) - New Albany, Mississippi, USA - MAR 23, 2006
I really wanted to like this more, but I couldn’t get past this medicinal/ jello flavor. Starts very bright citrus, and then gives way to an aftertaste that reminds me of fruit "flavored" candies. The banana is quite a bit to me, with a band-aid hit. Smells really nice, and for fans of the hefe flavors I’m sure quite nice.
At least it isn’t boring, and well worth a try, even if not my cup of tea.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Sigmund (4187) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 19, 2005
Bottle, RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting. Strong aroma, verging on the unpleasant, with notes of oak, brown sugar, lime and molasses. Flavour is oaky, alcoholic and too sweet, with notes of lime and lemongrass in the background. Not a love affair for me this one.

Served in a Stone Vertical Epic glass. Dry and bready. Medium body. A touch of yeast spice, but mostly just taste like bread. Meh.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2013
Location: Bottle at Nerd Beer Epic Weekend, 1/25/13
Aroma: The nose is OK, but pretty dull, with some malts, yeast, and a little cardboard
Appearance: This one pours an orange color with an average sized head
Flavor: Taste-wise, it really falls off, not only is it kinda dull, but it has oxidation on the finish
Palate: The mouthfeel was not bad, but nothing special, light-mid body, and not the best finish
Overall Impression:
With the 04.04.04 we really got what we were expecting to get with the 03.03.03, but after that one was such a pleasant surprise, I thought we might be for a really nice vertical. Unfortunately, this bottle was less then stellar.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Gription79 (1597) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - AUG 3, 2012
Poured from a 22 ounce bottle. This shows solid signs of oxidization. Fruity, cardboard, mint, peach. This finished very dry. Meh.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Treebs (733) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 17, 2013
22 oz. bottle served in a CCB snifter.
A: Pours a hazy apricot color with a ton of yeasty floaters in the pour. Some light splotches of lace are left down the glass.
S: Flowery and herbal with some light fruity undertones. Some plum with stale, oaty malts.
T: Paper and light oxidation with some light caramel malts. Flowery notes with some mild glue and light lime. A little prune-like oxidation.
M: Medium to light bodied with a medium carbonation level. Not much remaining on the flavor.
O: Did not enjoy this one at all. The lime notes seemed out of placed and it made the overall taste take on an Elmers glue-like flavor profile.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 IPAndy (120) - minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 9, 2006
Diacetyl in the aroma and flavor. A bit of citrus lime pops up, but none of the hefe influence claimed on the bottle. Color is as orange as I have ever seen, so it is interesting, but not exactly appealing. No head. Very little carbonation and extremely watery. A tad bit of alcohol in the flavor as well.

Easily the worst Stone product that I have tasted. I just don’t get the Epic series. Hazy gold./ Decent white head and lasting skiff. Plain aroma at first. Have to sniff to get the lime to rise above the dirty banana. Between shivers while sipping I get pasty lime, heavy pepper and banana leaves.
