4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark amber in color. Its aroma smelled of banannas and other fruits. This has aged very well! I did not taste initially but this beer after three years is still quite amazing. Very smooth and with just a little bite. Will love to try again!

At 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle,SC)
Pours black and opaque, with a good head.
This slr shows obvious barrel aging effects, including a smooth feel and well blended flavors. It’s warm with an estery finish and aftertaste; otherwise the high ABV is well hidden. Flavors include vanilla, toffee, dried fruit and light spicing. Semi-dry finish.

Celebrating the Vertical Epic Series
P: Deep clear amber body with a huge creamy copper tone head that stay with it for a spell. Beautiful looking beer.
S: Burnt molasses, dark roasted coffee, candied banana, toffee, and bready yeast.
T/M: Follows the nose with some additional fruit profiles, figs, raisins, chocolate orange, smoked barley, old leather, and dark bread. Has a nice aged flavor that compliments the complex layers that develop throughout. Once warmed even more chocolate, toffe and coffee flavors arrive and add another level of complexity. Medium creamy body with clean finish of chocolate, cocoa and aged wood.
O: Wow this has everything and continues to challenge the palate with layer upon layers of flavors and complexity. With the multitude of flavors I would expect a sloppy mess but this has developed nicely and aged to perfection. This was my favorite of all the Veryical Epics. Glad I was able to try this.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark ruby/brown pour with no head. Lots of dark fruit, molasses, and brown sugar on the nose with notes of alcohol. Big sweet malt flavor with notes of plum and dates. Finish is slightly warming from the abv. Almost reminiscent of a barleywine. Very tasty. Thanks StFun for the bottle!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled in 12/2013 from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-brown color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was metallic with notes of fig, port wine and Dr Pepper. The flavor was metallic with notes of fig, date, Dr Pepper and more metal. Long fig, Dr Pepper and metal finish. Medium body. Not good at this point.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draft. When this beer was released, the White Sox were in first place marching towards a World Series victory. I was still drinking bourbon, listening to Mike Jones, being 19 years old and generally embarrassing. Did this age well? No. But, you know me, I think beers that age well are the figment of the imagination of people who hoard beers. Pours a dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma of oxidation, cardboard, weird sweetness. Some clove and mild dark fruit. Flavor is flabby and generically sweet, lots of oxidation. Medium bodied, some average carbonation. Finishes weirdly sweet.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at RBSG. Poured orange with a thin quick white head. Aroma was mild with some clove ginger and mild dirty fruit. Taste little spicy hidden fruit and a touch of yeast. Palate thin slick and dry.
