In this yearís edition we took our inspiration from two Belgian styles: Saisons and Golden Triples. As such, the Stone 07.07.07 Vertical Epic has a deep, deep golden hue and the flavor is spicy, fruity, complex and refreshing. We used four different malts, and a subtle, yet distinct, blend of Glacier and Crystal hops to get just the right balance. Then, for the complexity, we added in some exotic spices --- including ginger, cardamom, grapefruit peel, lemon peel and orange peel (the latter three acknowledging our Southern California home) --- and a special Belgian yeast strain. All in all this is yet another case of us drawing from classic Belgian influences and cavalierly making it our own...San Diego style!

Cloudy orange/brown colour, with white head that disappears quick. Sweet and spicy fruit aroma. Fruit in particular orange with a nice spice/herb kick. A really good beer, that is going to be even better in two years!

Bottle. Poured a murky orange color with a lot of sediment and a slight white head. Aroma of fruit and yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is very fruity with a lot of apricot to it. A lot of spices in this, maybe some ginger and cinnamon. Alcohol is very present in its finish. A very nice beer. Thanks to HomeBrewHawk for the bottle. Very generous.

Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with almost no head. Syrupy thick body. Fruity aroma with some hops, malt and candy. Hoppy bitter taste giving way to an amazingly flavorful sharp fruity taste. Sweet malty and spicy notes. Absolutely amazing. Warm thick body with a great lingering taste, makes my mouth water.

Bottle from a secret source. Pours with a traditional hefe look with a cloudy golden hue. The nose is incredible, ripe banana, clove and ginger pop right out of the bottle. The flavor was fantastic with insane malts working in unison with the hops for a perfect balance. This one is a winner, and the best part of all is Iíve got 6 more that Iím gonna keep in the cooler for a few years, then they should be even more kick-ass! NICE BELGIAN STONE

22 oz. .. copper pour with lots of particles. lt white/tan head. .. Fruity aromas - belgiany w/ plum, peach, apricot. Some hops in there but not much.. .. Carmelly malty flavors with sour and spicy (cardamom?) notes. .. Medium body, med carbonation. .. Very interesting and tasty beer. Iíd definitely rate this as one of the better Belgian style beers Iíve tried.

Pours a golden/yellow, thin white head. Aroma of citrus, coriander, ginger, and other spices. Flavor is citrus, fruity, halfway between a Saison and a Tripel (pretty much as advertised). This is fantastic stuff. I love it.

Hint of cinnamon with a granny smith apple. Apple cinnamon candle aroma. Smells like Christmas. Weak head with minimal lacing. Copper in color.Creamy texture with a long finish. Malty taste like peanut butter. I thought the older vintage would be better than the new vintage but thus far not true. I guess I will find out.
