4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear shiny golden yellow with a nice tall white head of foam which looks like whipped egg whites. Very very attractive (Almost looks like a Duvel maybe little more golden)
Nose: Definitely hoppy citrus, resiny and some apricot like notes followed by some banana, pear and peppery esters are wonderful.
Taste: Really wonderful explosion of flavors tropical fruit notes (maybe apricot) peppery spiciness along with pear and some banana notes. Hop bitterness and flavors really meld with these complex flavors.
Palate: Has a long spicy and drying finish and the lingering hop bitterness makes the next sip quenching.
Overall: A very well made special ale from Stone. The interplay of hop notes and yeast esters make it a very yummy beer. It seems the beer is perfect to drink right now ... The carbonation is firm and the hop character is expressive - I wonder how this will hold till the end of Epic Series

Nice and fresh aroma of citrus and hops. Clear golden color with a lacy white head, looks like a lager (scarry). Taste a bit light, could be somewhat more hoppy and some bitternes is missing for me. Nice overall, but slightly disapointing, or maybe I was expecting too much.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Republic Seven Corners. Tulip glass on the patio with blonderedhead. Attractive golden orange color with a decent white head. Not a lot of lacing. Aroma is citrus and banana with a little bit of yeast funk. Taste is very solid with a balance of hoppy bitterness, a spicy, peppery characteristic, and a malt undertone. Enjoyable sweetness comes into play. Citrus rind a little bit towards the end. Finish is clean and professional. Stone succeeds again and all the more impressive given this isn’t necessarily the brewer’s specialty. Glad they brought it back for an encore.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Ellyn’s Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL., and large snifter served showing a hazed, ruby highlighted amber/gold color, with a presentably lingering layer of off white head foam, and wavy spray as lacing. The nose was dried fruit, pit fruit, touches of citrus & cherry, sweetness & spice, and ready alcohol presence. Medium+ bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste included an earthy & rind-like bitterness that was lingering, and tempered some by the fruit sweetness that also added subtle tropical notions. A hefty, satisfying Strong Ale that showed increasing warmth as it rested a bit.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap na BGM. Świetne połączenie strony słodowej i chmielowej w smaku. Wprost dostaje się "na twarz" wpływy i belgijskie i amerykańskie w tym piwie. Aromat tego nie zapowiada, jest minimalnie słabszy. Fajne piwo.
