3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle. Pours a deep clear amber with moderate head that settles quickly. Aromas of spicy yeast, bananas, grass, and toasted malts. Flavors of a Belgian Golden Strong; bananas, cloves, resin, and toasted malts. Right on for the style - the US hops playing a minor part.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of belgian yeast, fruity ethers, some spices, banana, citrus, pibe, mustiness, earthy hops, and light booze as it warms. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, long, slightly warming finish. Overall, a tasty, very interesting belgian strong ale that shows some west coast IPA character while remaining true to it belgian base.

Pours a clear golden with no head. A white island of bubbles sits atop. Bubblegum and light spice on the nose. Mild fine carbonation on the tongue with just a bit more of a burn in the back of the throat. Medium- to full-bodied and gets moderately astringent. Bubblegum flavor right away. 2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Probably the worst beer I’ve ever tasted from Stone. Aroma of gasoline with a hint of Belgian yeast and hops. Pours a pale straw color with a short lasting white well laced head. Taste of gasoline, hops and Belgian yeast with a dry feel light body and a chalky hops finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: Dry orange, mineral, yeast, touch of coriander and dry orange "syrup."
Flavor: Moderately concentrated orange, mineral, yeast, followed by a bitter hop and orange peel bite on the mid-palate and yeasty finish.
Comment: Well-integrated. This is a bit reminiscent of a S. French Viognier-like aroma and flavor and viscosity.
