On tap at daily growler. Took home, pours a merky amber color with little to no head. Some lacing left on glass. Aroma of malts, fruits, and booze. Taste is bitter, water downed, sour, malty, some clove and booze. Not bad, but for the price expecting more. Average overall!

12oz at Brouwer’s. Hazy gold, small off-white soapy head. Sweet, almost light tangy sour nose, I imagine it is the oak singing. Larger, rising sweet Belgian ale with some peppercorn. Big sweet, coating alc. Interesting.

Dark orange pour with a white head. Very sweet on the nose, sugar, banana, grape, and a hint of vanilla. Bread, caramel, and a little bit of toast, too. Tastes of caramel, sugar, grape, banana, and apple. A little bit of oak, a fair amount of vanilla, and a hint of yeast. Better than the regular, but not great.

Hazy orange. Nose like a New Belgium Felix-based sour. Flavor kills that tartness, adds light oak and sweet citrus. Bubble gum finish.

On tap it has a hazy honey color in the glass. Aroma of booze up front then some wood and a touch of vanilla. The taste has some tartness almost like a white wine and then there is some oak which helps to balance everything out. Long finish.

Pour on tap at Falling Rock’s Vertical Epic event, hazy yellow-golden pour with white head, aroma has very nice notes of slight brown sugar, vanilla, oak, raisin, tannic notes as well, pretty nice. Taste is a nice mix of oak, vanilla, toffee, nice lemony notes from the oak, hints of earth, finishing fairly dry, tannic, slightly sweet. This is very nice tasting.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a transparent brownish-orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells solid; almost like a dry champagne. Tastes alright, but nothing special. Semi-sweet and doughy with a bit of the French oak. Average on the palate. Decent, but nothing special.

On tap. Mostly hazy dark orange color. Thin kind of bubbly off-white head. Little dots of lace. Nice oaky lightly tart nose. Good citrus, lightly grapefruity taste. Little tart, some lemon peel zest. Some solid yeastiness. Medium body. Light, smooth carbonation. More dry, clean finish. This is a nice one. Oak really works, here.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small creamy beige head. The aroma is spicy, fruity with citrus notes, woody, mild caramel, and light vanilla. The flavor is moderately sweet with fruit (citrus, banana), spices (cloves), wood, light caramel and vanilla. A touch soft in the carbonation.
