Tap @ The BeerMongers for 12-12-12... Poured deep, ruby/reddish, quite cloudy with a moderate, khaki head. This was nice. Full mouthfeel, not totally drying or anything. Notes of tart, rip fruit with wood and a hint of yeast spice. Not totally funky, but certainly a tartness in there that was pleasant. Also some dark sugars and malt. Not too oxidized or anything. Showed its age quite nicely.

Draft at Churchkey 12.12.12. Murky mahogany with small bubbly head. Nose and flavor marked with sweet vinous nectar fruit, bright melon, white plum, and light tart tannin character. Sweet to start but dry finish. Very good.

Pour on tap at Falling Rock’s Vertical Epic event, hazy yellow-golden pour with white head, aroma has very nice notes of slight brown sugar, vanilla, oak, raisin, tannic notes as well, pretty nice. Taste is a nice mix of oak, vanilla, toffee, nice lemony notes from the oak, hints of earth, finishing fairly dry, tannic, slightly sweet. This is very nice tasting.

Tap at CK for 12.12.12 VE night. Thanks to Travlr for the share. Pours a clear, deeper amber to red in the light. Weak head with spotty lace. Nose is lemon, herbal, big vanilla. Taste is oily vanilla bean, sugar, tart lime, sweet and sour playoff. Lactic, tart finish. Quenching palate. Probably picked up a benign infection for the better here. Yum!

Hazy orange brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, nuts, vanilla, toffee malts, grapes fruits, and light alcohol. Taste of caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, wood, light nuts, oxidation, and a semi-sweet finish. Big improvement over the standard ’10.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small creamy beige head. The aroma is spicy, fruity with citrus notes, woody, mild caramel, and light vanilla. The flavor is moderately sweet with fruit (citrus, banana), spices (cloves), wood, light caramel and vanilla. A touch soft in the carbonation.

On tap at brewery. Hazy light brown with a thin head. Oaky vanilla caramel and grassy vegetal aroma. Sweet sugary oak forward taste followed by vanilla and roasted coconut flavors, caramel, and a oaky dryness. Bright sticky medium bodied palate. Interesting.
