3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. I guess it must be close to three years old now. Golden, effervescent. Sour apple aromas and flavors. Belgian esters are present, but not overpowering. Solid beer overall.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. Found aged during a closeout sale. The pour is amber in color with a thin head but a lot of busy carbonation. The aroma has many of the essential Belgian esters one might expect from a Dubbel or Tripel rather than a Strong ale with roasted malts, yeast, candied sugar, and toffee. The body is about medium but it also very smooth. The taste is nice and roasted and there is a low bitterness at the end. Aging has mellowed this one in a good way for sure.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells like a belgian triple should. Bright gold color, no head. Delicious and smooth. Did smell some chamomile very briefly at one point, but it came and went. Bursts of orange zest in the flavor on some sips. Probably 2nd favorite after í09.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber at home. Aroma of white grapes, chamomile, ripe banana, yeast, spice. Honey sweet, itís pretty much a yeast bomb. Fruity esters of banana, bubblegum, apple, with a nice vinous acidity at the start of the finish. More yeasty flavors and harsh chamomile show up in the far finish. Tastes old, shouldnít have waited for 2 years to crack this. At this stage, it doesnít quite come together as expected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle served in a CCB snifter.
A: Pours a hazy orange color with a little white head forming on the pour. Some splotches of lace left behind on the glass.
S: White grapes with some tartness and flowery hops. White bread malts with a touch of sweetness.
T: Grape soda sweetness with some bubblegum flavors. Sweet stone fruit with some cereal grain malt. Flowery hand lotion. Well hidden booze.
M: Surprisingly light bodied with 9.5%. Medium carbonation level.
O: One of the better ones of the series. The grapes added another layer of flavor to up the complexity and slight enjoyment.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The first of the Epic Verticals that I have cracked (I may have rated one on tap). Pours a golden orange color with a thin white foam head. Aroma of Belgian spice, earthiness, zest, grape, and dark fruit. Super sweet caramel taste, with notes of candi sugar, and zest on the finish. Body was perfect to start but then thins out. Has not aged great. But still solid.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle sample at a Vertical Epic tasting at Mastikim. Thanks Dagan. Pours murky amber with no head. Candy, candied dried orange peel and white wine aroma, delicate sour taste, then sweet, a little alcoholic. Light body, soft fizz, long, white wine finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle sample at a Vertical Epic tasting at Mastikim. Thanks Dagan. Hazy golden. Spicy and fruity aroma with some white wine notes, light earthiness, a malty hint and a bit of honey. Sweetish flavor, spicy and fruity, with a bit of floral honey, light earthy hints and a drier finish. Medium-bodied.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber to white wine glass, appropriate? Really weird golden orangey color, small head that evaporated quite quickly. Nose is candied sugar with a little must, not really in your face. Medium to light mouthfeel, lots of carbonation, very bubbly. The high carbonation does not deter from the beer, it actually kind of makes it for me... Itís champagne-ey and I like it. Very Belgian blonde feel on the front palate, Definetly finishes with the white wine/grape/muscat action. Overall I really found this to be interesting, however Iím glad itís retired because I donít know if I personally would go after it again. Salut

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(bottle - 22 oz - Night of the Titans 2013) Hazy orange pour with a fizzy white head. Slightly mild and floral aroma with some mild yeast. Flavor is very fruity and grassy with an odd floral taste that doesnít seem to belong. Dry and grassy flavor with a mild vegetal and sweet finish. Least favorite of the epics thus far.
