2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from 22 oz. bottle, in Stone Russian Imperial Stout snifter. This bottle has been aged at room temperature since it was purchased in early 2010.
**Appearance**: Orange in color and cloudy. It has a few slow-rising bubbles. Not much of a head, and it disappeared quickly leaving no laces.
**Nose**: Grapes, white wine and a slight vinegar briefly. Honey and citrus fruits like orange and tangerine. Maybe a tiny hint of pumpkin/yam.
**Mouthfeel**: Thin and dry. There’s some bite at at the end, which may be the carbonation.
**Taste**: Spices and pumpkin/yam-like flavors. A lot of wine grapes (which taste similar to pumpkin/yam to me) and not much else.
**Overall**: Definitely my least favorite so far. It’s not horrible, and I can tell that it’s a well made beer, it’s just not to my preferred style. I ended up dumping about a third of the bottle because I just wasn’t interested in drinking it any more.
**Room temp vs. cellar temp**: I aged this at room temperature and I didn’t notice anything that would seem to be ill effects from the temp. I don’t have a cellar-temp aged bottle to which to compare this one, so I can’t say how it would have differed, but I see no reason to think it would be any different than this one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rated on 11-03-2010. This bottled beer has a small off-white head with a short retention, hazy golden body, no visible carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malty, sweet, grapes, spicy, candied sugar, and floral. The taste is sugary sweet, malt, grapes, spicy, floral, and alcohol. The mouth feel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. The flavors in this beer are quite different than what I have experienced with this beer style in the past. This is a sipping beer with a warming sensation. It is worth trying.

Bottle. I’d had back in 2010, but just recently drank my last two bottles. Goddamn is this one brilliant beer. The accents of the wine grapes just fill everything in so nicely. Super stoked I drank them when I did, as I think they were almost ready to start their slow death.

22oz bomber pour. Orange hazy color with white head. Sour taste. Weird fruity and bitter flavor. Can't appreciate this one but can't knock it. Unusual.

Celebrating the Vertical Epic Series
P: Clear golden body with active carbonation.
S: Clean, banana, bubblegum, floral, subtle spices, cirtus and white grapes.
T/M: Citrus hops, apricots, white grapes, acidic, zesty lime and lemon and yeast. Dry wine feel syrupy stickiness and tart puckering finish.
O: Similar to white wine with tart grapes and dry finish. Really nice and clean.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy golden pour with a white head. Aromas of wine and grape must with chamomile notes. Sweet malty flavor upfront with the grapes coming through nicely in the finish. Very smooth and easy to drink, no trace of the abv. This was one of my favorites in the series, great brew! Props to StFun for the bottle!

On draught at 2014 CellarFest at Bailey’s Taproom. Obviously 2010 vintage. Deep golden color. Aroma of grape, Belgian candi sugar, and citrus. Taste is sweet wine grapes, candied citrus, light yeast, and pineapple juice. Nicely balanced, with some smoothing from the aging.
