3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle purchased in June 2011 at Hop City Craft Beer in Atlanta. Pours a golden orange color with a small head, very little lacing. Medium carbonation. The hops are a good contrast to a wine type flavor. Could you a little less bitterness, but Iím not a fan of bitter beers. Overall a very well done brew. I would be interested to try the earlier Vertical Epic years.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wonderful beer. The chamomile and grapes added a very nice twist to the regular Belgian fare. This was the first I have tried of the vertical epic serious (Iím only 22) and I bought several bottles to cellar after trying the first. I look forward to next years release

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle aged 2 years. Cloudy golden color with a sweet aroma. Taste is more toned down from the first time I had it 2 years ago. Great beer and a great series.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle. Pours golden with a small soapy head that leaves no lacing. Grassy aromas, a little bit of citrus. Belgian yeast taste is there but it compliments something a bit sweeter. I canít really say Iím picking up the grapes in this besides the fact that the dry finish reminds me of wine a bit. A good drink but ultimately not what I had hoped for.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden in color. Minimal lacing with no head what so ever. Aroma is brocchili. Aroma is sweet but yummy. A little sour in the taste. Thin texture with Average carbonation. I donít know what is going on but this is doable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber btl. Pours clear darker golden with a thin white head. Lots of carbonation a good triple appearance. Has an aroma of yeast and white grape. Crisp super refreshing mouthfeel. Crisp all the way through with a spicy and mildly dry finish. A subtle floralness that compliments the wine grapes well. A nicely done beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear golden with thin white head, aroma of candi sugar with floral honey like aromas and slight hint of biscuit, complex flavors of slight sweet malt, grassy hops, and a hint of sour fruit. Medium palate med/light carb. Couldnít wait the recommended 2 years aging :-)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
clear and golden with a short-lived frothy head, minimal lacing, aroma of chamomile, grapes and vinegar, first taste is boozy but the alcohol hides nicely after, definitely a sipper and not something i would session, maybe a good pairing with dinner, but obviously lacking malt/hops punch,
good idea from Stone, just not my thing

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours translucent and bubbly golden, with a wet, quickly fading pale head. Nose of white grape juice, apple, and spice (cinnamon, clove, etc...). Sweet grape with some vinegar bitterness. Medium, foamy mouthfeel, and subtle alcohol warmth. Like a belgian combined with a white wine. Very interesting creation, though hardly my favorite of the vertical series.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy orange with a thin white head. The aroma is mostly Belgian yeast but the grapes start to come through after a while. The taste is sweet but very refreshing with some red wine like bitterness in the after taste. Perhaps not as complex as I would have thought but, as I said, very refreshing and it went down perhaps a little to easy considering the ABV. Worked very well with some French sheep milk cheese.
