2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Smell: Very diskreet but some citrus in there.
Taste: Very fresh, spices, a bit strong on the alcohol. Belgian style shines through. A bit too much after a while

Süßer Kaufummiantrunk zu dem später Fruchtnoten hinzukommen. Minimale Säure, weiterhin, wenn nun auch geringer, Kaugummi. Zu süß, zu künstlich. 9/8/8/8//8

Tap at Rattle n’ Hum. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with very little head. Scent is Belgian yeast with sweetness evident. Some grapes, light fruit on the nose. Taste is semi sour, oak, slight bitterness, light fruit. Flat. Drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On paper, this beer sounds pretty awesome - however, something like this requires nuance and subtlety, which are two things this brewer simply does not do well - cloudy gold with a saffron-ish tint - headless - aroma is heavy on the white grape/wine component, but with a hefty dose of yeast and phenols, herbal tea-like character - relatively inviting despite being a bit clumsy - pretty much everything in the flavor is overdone - the chamomile is overuse and generates an unwelcome bitterness - grape is fairly potent, but tastes kind of like cheap wine (the alcohol burn in the finish does not help this) - light phenols - overdone herbal bitterness in the finish, tasting a bit like a mouthful of yarrow - dry finish - too much of too many things.

Pour is a very clear amber, much like a cider without all the visible bubbles. Also like a cider, the head is bubbly and leaves way too quickly. Aroma is heavy on sour/tart white grapes, with a sidekick of grassy and flowery hops. Taste is pretty much similar to the nose, with a herbal and spicy undertone leading to a very dry finish. Some Belgian yeast notes lead the palate to some bread-like flavor profiles. It’s an odd concoction, and it doesn’t quite do it for me. I wanted so much to like this. A better version of this could be made in your home by mixing an average Belgian and an average white wine.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sorry to say I did not like this one because I thought the idea of adding grapes to a beer was an interesting concept. Poured this 22oz bottle into some tumblers for tasting. Light white yellow fizzed color with very thin head. Aroma did give a white whine and sweet Belgium candi and yeast elements, but nothing to write home about. Really the let down was that I was getting to much alcohol taste which is ok in some beers but I hoped this would have been better hidden. I may have had this to warm which added to this.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Boring pour: golden, nearly transparent, no head or lace. Spicy. Reminds me of a Belgian Tripel with its best qualities removed. A bit too sweet, not great.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (basement), with a strong note of lavender, other notes of gum, pepper, lemon zest.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
I have two major gripes with this: first, the addition of flowers is overdone, and second, the fruit juice sourness is unpleasant (as if there’s a big squeeze of grapefruit juice in every glass). This is one of those cases where "throwing too much stuff" into the pot ruined the beer. Without the lavender or chamomile or whatever, and presumably without the grape juice, this might have been a pretty decent beer...mentally erasing those aspects is hard to do, but what remains at least ^seems^ like it would have been quite solid. Oh well.
