Deep reddish brown color in the glass. It has an aroma of roasted malts and spices. The flavor is smooth with bananaís and figs. The spice from the chile comes on the back end. Tasty beer. Definitely caught me off guard but it was good.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2011 Bottle via StateLine. Light red in color, decent head. Nose of belgian candy sugar...yeast notes. Taste is ehh.... Initially a sweet candy sugar taste followed by some spices, cinnamon and chiles... But it doesnt blend well together at all... A sweet holiday ale with some spices. I wanted to like this beer but just cant... dissapointed. I poured 95% of this beer out

Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 12/10/11. Pours a clear reddish copper with a thin beige head. Aroma of cherry, banana, phenolics, a bit of vanilla and some spiciness. Banana and pepper flavor with cherry and caramel before an herbal, peppery and sweet finish.

Bottle. I was pretty impressed with this one. It is kind of like a Beligian strong ale, mixed with a German Doppleweiss, with a kick. The palate is what was mindblowing to me. At first, it makes the tounge tingle, as it warms and as I adjusted to it, the cinnamon really came out and almost burned, but quickly subsided.

Pours a reddish brown with thin mocha head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, cloves, chilies and some malt. Taste is exactly as advertised; a Belgian strong with chilies. While itís not as harsh or hot as some pepper flavoured beers Iíve sampled of late I donít think itís a variation I love. The heat is subtle and lingering but, like with chocolate, I donít really want spice heat in my beer. Overall well made but loses points for the chilies.

Poured a rich ruby red from a bomber bottle, with a very thin layer of yellowish foam. Aroma is heavy on spice and something close to overripe pumpkin/cinnamon. There is also a good bit of sweet dough. The taste is heavy on the cinnamon, a bit of spice and some belgian sourness. The chilies certainly stick around heavily on the aftertaste. The chili peppers, though present, are balanced out really well against what is expected of a belgian strong ale.

Bomber. Pours a lovely reddish copper with a foamy head and aromas that are sweet (fruity) and have a little edge of vegetation, maybe even chiles if Iím feeling generous. Flavor is a fairly interesting mix of fruity sweetness (orange blossom and honey with some peach or something similar) with just the faintest hint of heat from the peppers. Iím lost trying to pick out the cinnamon, however. It borders on cloying at times and is a little bit of a sugar bomb at times.

A nice peppery cinnamon aroma. A red brown color with a tan colored head. A medium bitter with a sweet finish. A oily texture with the carbonation coming off soft. Overall pleasantly suppressed.

Clear ruby amber, frothy tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, nut, toffee, clove, spiced bread, not much cinnamon or pepper, and thatís a good thing. Taste is sweet fruit, molasses, lots of Belgian yeast flavor, much more normal that I was expecting from a Stone Pepper/Cinnamon/Belgian beer, earthy, woody bitter finish. I was thinking this was going to be more of a novelty, but it is just a well made Belgian beer with light notes/almost no notes of novelty items. Glad to see they can do something mellow and still unique.

22oz. bottle served in a Tank 7 tulip. Pours a dark copper with an off white head. Belgian spice and some green pepper in the aroma. Also a bit of sugar. Pepper flavor comes through, but not a lot of heat. Belgian yeast flavor appears in the finish. Medium bodied. Alcohol is not apparent, even at 9.4% abv. This didnít do a whole lot for me. Pepper flavor didnít really work for me. Not really a beer that makes me want more.
