22 oz bottle served in a tulip. Pour is mahogany with three fingers of kaki head that coated the glass very nice. Nose is chili peppers, cinnamon, Belgian yeast, and bananas. Taste is right on key with the oily feel of the peppers very apparent. As with most Belgians, the key highlights of the yeast really lowers the score for me. I have had some really similar renditions, done with an American yeast strain, and I loved it. The chilies are quite exquisite in this one, and I believe it would be great if not for the banana yeast thing lurking throughout.

Pours a dark amber color with off white head. Fruity, yeast aroma. Flavor was like drinking a tripel and a dubbel at the same time, sharp, malty, spicy, but not overwhelming. Lots of character with a dry finish. Very different and very enjoyable.

Aroma: Very spicy--cinnamon and clove--almost like a cookie. Appearance: Dark amber, cloudy, with minimal head. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, long spiced finish, minimal carb Taste: Medium sweetness all the way through Overall: Nice, deceptively sweet and spiced beer. Not getting a lot of the chiles, but it’s still quite solid.

On tap at F&B during a "Tap Takeover" in Wellington NZ. Considering I had had many other Stone brews in the days leading up to this one, and all had been singularly excellent, I wasn’t surprised when I found this one the same. Same (excellent) but different (flavoured).

Growler. Pours translucent, amber-brown with a medium light-tan head. Aroma is malty sweetness, bubblegum and clove from the yeast, and very mild chile. Initially, the flavor is dominated by a mix of Anaheim chile and bubblegum. As it warms, the gum quickly recedes as malt and cinnamon move to the forefront, and the chile remains strong throughout. Mild chile burn in the back of the throat on the finish. Surprisingly light and dry, considering the ABV. Really unique and actually quite enjoyable.

22oz. bottle served in a Tank 7 tulip. Pours a dark copper with an off white head. Belgian spice and some green pepper in the aroma. Also a bit of sugar. Pepper flavor comes through, but not a lot of heat. Belgian yeast flavor appears in the finish. Medium bodied. Alcohol is not apparent, even at 9.4% abv. This didn’t do a whole lot for me. Pepper flavor didn’t really work for me. Not really a beer that makes me want more.

Had it at World of Beer in Evanston IL. Pours a deep copper hue with a firm head and uneven lacing. Smells of musty hops and taste like puntang hops.

Pour is a nice ruby red color wit ha thin tan head. Nose is of dark fruits with a clear cinnamon presence, though nearly sweet. Taste is rather interesting, clearly a rather pepper like taste, though not as dry as I was expecting, as the cinnamon tends to pack quite the punch in the back end. Noticeable spice however.

Pours a dark amber. Quickly dissipating white head. Smells like teriyaki sauce and nutmeg. Tastes of pine hops and caramel malts. Good carbonation. Has a spicy and dry alcohol finish. Spice lingers down the pipes.

Had this at a tasting. Couldn’t taste any of the cinnamon or chilies. Like the 12.12.12 this one was just off from Stone’s normal God status.
