Poured a dark red brown from a bottle. Thick head with a good bit of lacing. Smell does not let on cinnamon taste and is rather boozy. Tastes like a cider and strong ale combined. Cinnamon after taste. Not bad overall.

Poured on a Trappist glass. the aroma its very quite, very little notes of cinnamon, clove and some alcohol but not much going on. Small white head, brown gold appearance to a very clean and clear body. Up front the cinnamon its the first guest and an even stronger sour taste of the flanders yeast and at the back strong clove. I think the mouth feel its the best about this beer its solid, and oily. Over all a bit better than expected I was a bit disappointed with the lack of aroma on this one but the overall mouth feel gain some of my respect for it but considering that kind of beer and the $$$ for it not bad.

Lovely aroma to this beer. Cherries, a bit of licorice, cinnamon come through. A great appearance. Crimson color with a good head and nice lacing. Nice taste! A bit on the sweeter side. Sour cherries, a bit of bitterness. The heat of the chillies come through nicely at the end but I was hoping for a bit more of. Cinnamon is naturally there and balances it out well. Good beer! Savoring every sip! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle a medium brown with a tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, booze, slight floral and clove notes. Tastes of cinnamon, a bit of heat from the chiles, some floral, and malt.

Pours dark red-brown. Smells sweet with light fruits, banana and spices. Taste is very sweet with fruity tartness and spicy cloves. Add a hint of chili to the mix and you’ve got this bizarre concoction... Unfortunately, I’m not diggin’ it.

On tap at the Blind Tiger Ale house, Manhattan 12-13-12. I was surprised that i liked this as much as i do. Sipping on it now at the BT, the cinnamon flavor is slightly more pronounced on my palate than the chiles. I do taste the chiles though as subtle as they might be. Nice lacing forming in the tulip in front of me as this delicious gem slowly slips away. A kind of Bayou mud-like appearance in the tulip...thin...difficult to say what color in the low light here. Gosh...another Stone to add to the rotation. Quite delicious. If you like flavorful beers, and I’m a big barleywine lover, you might like this. I do!
