Pours a dark orange with amber hues. Offwhite foam that rims the glass. Aroma is filled with yeasty esters of bananas and spice. Some vegetal notes as well. Flavor is very spicy. Bananas, cloves, peppers. The spice from the yeast, cinnamon, and chiles really blends together nicely. Great improvement over last years release. Curious to see how this ages.

Poured from a bottle, San Diego. Strong malt aroma, with the chilies in the mix. Deep amber, discolored head. I really don’t care for this one, it is a fine beer, but it is not epic in any way. The chillies are pleasant, and the flavor complex, but I just don’t care for this one particularly. It is remarkably drinkable for a beer that is damned near 10%, though! I could chug this beer, or just pound it. How they managed that, I don’t know. Silver linings!

Pours a dark amber that still let’s some light through. One inch head that disappears even after an aggresive pour. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, alcohol, some spices. Taste is a bit muddled. The lable says that it’s based on a Belgian golden ale but it seems like the base is a Belgian strong dark ale. There are spices in the taste but not to sure about the chiles in there. It was worth a try once. Not sure if I would go for it again.

Poured from a bottle with a amber color and white head. Hints of banana malts, chiles. the chiles flavor mosly comes on the finish.

Tap at Rattle n’ Hum. Beer pours a murky medium brown with close to zero carbonation. Aroma is honey sweet, offset by a touch of spicy pepper. Flavor is sweet malts, apple, cayenne. Chili or habanero flavor is notable, though not intense. A trace of heat and vanishingly bitter on the finish. Not my favorite

Cloudy, orange appearance. Fruity. Slightly sour, finishes sweet. Quality brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lots of cinnamon. First thing on the palate. But the bitterness of the hops takes hold and never let go.

Found a bottle at a local liquor store. 22 oz. bottle poured into a tulip. Deep copper color with a small head. The cinnamon really comes out in the aroma as well as some heat from the mixture of chilis and alcohol. Taste is a little bit sweet with almost a ginger bread flavor. I could only taste the chilis after eating some spicy food but even still they’re very subdued. Mouthfeel was nice and silky making it a pleasure to drink. Going to purchase another bottle and age it for a year or so, this one definitely needs to mature. All around very good, definitely prefer it to the 10-10-10, but definitely needs to mellow out.

Poured a dark red brown from a bottle. Thick head with a good bit of lacing. Smell does not let on cinnamon taste and is rather boozy. Tastes like a cider and strong ale combined. Cinnamon after taste. Not bad overall.
