Poured from a tap. Very sticky head. Dark brown/reddish pour. Chilies and a weird kinda ginger, medicinal nose. No hint of cinnamon. Flavor is more medicine and weird ginger. Not sure how one would age this. Not my style.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of metal, alcohol, banana, clove, orange peel. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic, metallic. Generic, boozy, and quite metallic.

hmm.. .. Pours a deep tree copper .. . medium head, medium lacing .. . cinnamon, monkey wrench, spice, and very light pepper skin .. . way to much cinnamon, derails this completely. . . abv is masked quite well, until it hits the belly .. . probably the weakest of the vertical series, but if you like spice in beer, you might be odd enough to like this . . . . You accuse me of everything around here! "Who put slippers in the dishwasher?" "Who threw a cane at the TV?" "Who fell into the china hutch?

Had this at a tasting. Couldnít taste any of the cinnamon or chilies. Like the 12.12.12 this one was just off from Stoneís normal God status.

Pours a dark reddish-amber with a modest but tenacious off-white head. Nose is fairly typical for a strong darker belgian (brown and candied sugar, fruit, yeast, light floral hops) with just a hint of spice and the much-discussed pepper. Flavor is a little weird and earthy; front is abrasively funky but without much depth or character. Backside is quite bland and difficult to describe, frankly, but Iím not a fan of it. Neither the chilis nor the belgian qualities of the beer come out much on the flavor, instead leaning toward a boozy, bland herbal ale. This is probably the most disappointing brew Iíve had from Stone.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2011 Bomber. Lightly hazy, nut brown-copper with a small film of head that tries to last. Nose is brown sugar, peppery clove, banana, and shellac. Wow taste is the same, with some gummy wheat and cough medicine. Medium body is tingly with alcohol and capsicum; sweet but dried a bit by the noticeable alcohol. Not bad, but tastes like nothing more than a boozy dunkel Hefeweissen, mit einigen kleinen pfeffer.

22 oz. bottle, split many ways, pours a dark reddish amber / brown with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted hazelnuts, dark fruits, caramel, candied sugar and some spices (cinnamon, coriander, and some other undetectable ones). Flavour is quite spicy and sweet, with a melange of spices, sweet, candied sugar / caramel malt, toasted nuts, with burnt sugar / cloying sweetness on the finish. Nasty medicinal finish. Not impressed with this series, least of all this latest installment.

bottle... light mostly clear amber, decent light tan head, a bit creamy, leaves a finger cap... cinnamon, lots of a spice, pepper finish, no clue who thought that was good combo... taste isnít as horrible as I imagined, it nicely shows off the cinnamon and chili in distinct and unique, but again this is not a combination that should have been even done... pass

Kind of a mess. Strong and fruity without balance. Sticky and heavy. Kind of a Belgian dubble but it just doesnít work.

Medium size tan head with fair retention and a decent lace. Hazy, amber, orange hued ale. Nose is a bit yeasty with some grainy, bready notes, weirdly spicey. Body is medium, soft carbonation and a touch tangy. Caramel malts blasted by some weird ass sourness, cinnamon? Lil bananna and some metallic notes as well. The chiles are very faint. An almost dry finish, somewhat astringent. This series seems to be running downhill, fast. C,mon Guys!! Hope the last installment has a bit more ass to it. Bomber procured from statelineliquors.
