3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22ox bottle. Clear brown color with a medium head that leaves some nice lace. Earthy, spicy aroma with some russet potato skin and candied yams with cinnamon on them. Banana floats in and out of the background, accompanied by a strawberry or two. Nice balance of flavors with fruit, spice, and lightly toasty malt coming together well. Lingering tangy fruit in the finish and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied whit soft carbonation. Sweet cinnamon covered anaheims? Seems to work. Definitely a little earthy fruit from the chiles or otherwise. The yeast character blends well with the spicing. Alcohol is well integrated on the whole. I can see some people not digging the spice here, even if there is pretty much zero heat from the chiles (anaheim is a very mild pepper), but this is a well made beer on the whole. Kudos to Stone for pulling this unlikely marriage off.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. It poured a reddish/brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of chiles, cinnamon, raisin and dark fruits. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chiles. malts and a spicy sweet finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle cellared 4 years and shared by all during the family Christmas vertical with the 08/09/10/11/12. Thanks for the help, bro, in acquiring these. Dark reddish pour. Cinnamon, chiles in the nose. Taste leads with that but the main player turns out to be a bit more of an amber. Sweet, wit h the other presence around the edges. Chiles mellowed out over the time? 13.4

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mild roasted chili flavor in an amber ale. Uses Belgian yeast for slight banana after taste.
Second tasting was a bit different. More roasted chili flavor and aroma. Not as much banana as before.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
old review - got lost when I transferred, apparently. This was one of my faves of the series. Chilli was light but present and the cinnamon spicing was just right.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a cloudy caramel color. Almost like a freshly pressed apple cider. There was a tall creamy dark tan head. The aroma was mostly yeast and bread. There was a hint of cinamon and some other spices. There beer itself had a thick creamy texture and a very unique flavor. There was a good amount of caramel sweetness along with some dark fruit flavors. There was a hint of cinnamon and some fall like spices, but it also had a bit of an unfiltered fresh apple cider bit of tartness. I didn’t get much if any of the pepper aroma or taste. This beer was pretty interesting and I enjoyed it. It was definetely unique in flavor, but nice.
