On tap at Bad Apple, Chicago. Murky ruby with just a dusting of head. Medium bodied. Maybe the best chili beer Iíve ever had; itís a full, lasting flavor thatís more than just a spicy overtone. Belgian base is a nice counterpoint, with over-ripe fruits and a hint of sweetness to start. The spice dominates the rootsy finish in a very nice way. Very well made. Not an instant favorite, but glad I had it.

Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - dark amber brown coloured pour with beige head. Medium sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruity and nutty, some cinnamon spice on the palate, good mouthfeel, warming dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber beer with a thin off white head on top. Aroma has loads of port and vineous characters that go with a big malty base and a rich molasses front. Flavor is very sweet, very vineous and you can defintely tell the age on this one. Very nice, full bodied and well carbonated drinking experience, I wish I had the entire series, but unfortunately I donít...

Pours hazy deep copper brown with a puffy medium beige head, excellent retention, very fine lacing. Big malty aroma like a barley wine with notes of toast, biscuit, grass, hay, wood, and a hint of cinnamon. Medium full body, smooth and velvety. Mildly sweet, a hint of citrus, medium bitter finish.

Interesting brew. Decent malty background, caramel with quite intense spiciness, quite herbal, dried fruits, bit wood. Sweet all the way with light bitterness. Feels bit messy, but pleasant and enjoyable

Dark clear copper pour with beige head, quickly dissipating. Aroma of dark fruit, spices, cinnamon, honey and yeast. Taste of caramel, malts, yeast, dark fruit, cinnamon, iced tea and faint chili heat on the finish. Full bodied, nice carbonation, long hop syrupy finish. Tasty and interesting but became cloying by the end of the bottle.

Bottled @ Camping Ratebeers 2014, small sample. Dark color. Slight spicy, quite malty. Bit sweet, bit bitter in taste. Wasnt aware of the chiles, so didnt notice them (which is not a bad thing).
