Very large dark brown head of dense and creamy bubbles. Cellar temp so the head is about 3+ inches thick. Lots of spices in the aroma with some ginger, nutmeg, cocoa powder, dark roasted malts and a bit of sweet molasses. Color is a very dark brown. Flavor is soft malts more ginger, roasted grains, dark chocolate and a noticable bitterness. A little bit heavy on the spices though as they kind of overpower the other flavors. Very drinkable for such a dark and rich brew. Lingering chocolate and pine in the flavor with more spices (cinnamon to provide a little heat). A decent belgian style brew.

Candy apple on the nose. Taste like a smoked Belgian strong. Candy sugar followed by roasted malt.

Lost my tasting notes on this, so I’m going from memory.
Pours a dark, brownish color with a nice tan head. Scent is complex, lots of spice and citrus, some yeasty earthy tones as well. Flavor is nice and sweet, up front. Raisins, gingerbread, earthiness followed by a nice balance of bitter hops in the end. Medium bodied with a nice, smooth finish.
Stone finished off their Vertical Epics with a great one.

Poured from a bomber into a tullip glas. It pours a nice dark color with a tan head that lasts an average while. Arome is nice and spicy of cinnamon, nutmeg and alcohol but there are also some nice estery and toasted notes. Flavor is very sweet with a little bitterness at the end. There are notes of raisins, sweet malt, esters, and spices. It finishes dry with some of the alcoholic notes. Mouthfeel is full and carbonation is decent. Overall a delicious beer.

Bomber into glass, dark black pour with brown head.. Aroma is hard to explain, some spice, weird..maybe licorice.... Taste is odd also, et hopps, some faint oranvge expresso, and weird to say but small hints of fish, dnt think i like it.. :/

Well I don’t know what to say. This beer is so balanced as to defy definition. Great looks with dark brown color, nice head modest malt aromas, and plenty of body. Not really Hoppy but sufficient and clean at the finish, a really well made ESB if it needs a definition.

Dark black with tan head... Aroma of cinnamon and spices... Belgian malts, brown sugar with West Coast hops... Still slightly dry on the finish... Belgium meets West... Delicious

Bomber pours an opaque dark brown/black with a decent tan had and lacing. Aroma is full of ginger, cinnamon, orange peel, cloves, and chocolate, with lots of other stuff going on. Tastes sweet with a slightly drier finish. Body is full with a wonderful velvety smooth mouthfeel Alcohol is very well hidden. This one is a delight of a dessert beer. I’m glad to have tried it and regret not having tried earlier years’ versions.

Black color with tab head. Sweet orange and big spices--nutmeg, cinnamon. Pine needle hops. Warm and cozy.

22 oz bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Ginger, cinnamon, clove, yeasty aromas hinting at cocoa. Flavor mixes dry roasty coffee with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, black pepper, and some kind of eggy/creamy sensation that makes it reminiscent of an egg nog or an alfredo. It works really well, actually. Very good stuff.
