4th June 2013
Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light spice on the nose. Viscous soft palate. Creamy dark malt, airy. Strong cinnamon and cloves. Trace of citric hop. Finishes spice bitter and dry. Hugely over spiced and hugely disappointing. A rare Stone howler! Drain pour.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 22oz. It’s a more or less black one, topped by a creamy, two-finger light beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is rather spiced, with cardamom, cloves and some orange peel. Roasted too, some alcohol notes blending in. It’s full-bodied, smooth and quite dry and warming on the palate, with lots of flavor. Maybe a bit too much spices maybe, especially the cloves. Cinnamon and some orange peel, as well as roasted malts and some chocolate. A touch of dried fruits too. Long, roasted and clove-ish finish. Well, it’s sure a nice one, but way too clove-tasting for my liking. A Christmas beer if you ask me. 130819

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bomber from Systembolaget, thanks to Dazz3. Dark brown beer with a quite rich beige head. Heavy cinnamon and soap aroma, clove, malty, vanilla notes. Spicy flavor, cinnamon, clove, ginger, soapy notes. This beer is more or less destroyed by all the spices. Why?
