22oz bottle from BOTW in Henrietta. Aroma is burnt coffee and alcohol. The flavor is a bit more complex with the chocolate favoring the tip of the tongue and the bitterness appearing as it rolls to the sides and the back. The alcohol is heavily present. In fact, after I swallow I feel as if the alcohol fumes continue to exit my throat across the roof of my mouth. Not a pleasant feeling. Overall I’m more than a little disappointed. The lushness of the oatmeal is lost here, and the alcohol is dominating.

Bomber. Aromas of coffee, burnt wood tobbacco and roasted oat grains. Black body with dark tan head. Flavor of roasted oats , coffee and some coco in the mix. Creamy body texture was present at some times and thin alacohol at other times. Dry bitter with dry cooffe grains aftertaste lingers abit. Good brew

Poured black with brown around the edges, light brown head. Smell some mocha and toasted malts, slight alcohol. Had some coffee and roasted malt, more baker’s chocolate/dark chocolate. The alcohol is not real well hidden, but I don’t really expect that in a RIS. Warm finish of alcohol, coffee, some bitter chocolate lingers. A little astringent. Could have had a little more sweet malt, dark red fruits, but still pretty good.

really nice pour, super black with a huge coffee colored head. Aroma is boozy, with some roasted malt, and a touch of bitter chocolate. Flavour is again very boozy with a touch of coffee, and some chocolate. The mouthfeel is a little thin, i’m not getting any of the oatmeal benefits. This is really quite boozy, and maybe with some time to age it would mellow out a bit.

Cask at GBBF with the rochefortless boyz, but the fingers are still on the gape. Alround rating: Very roasty, eppery bitter alcohol, very bitter in every aspect infact, smokey coffee character, too overpowering and too much going on.

A beer that could’ve been a lot better if it wasn’t trying so hard. This seems to be a pattern from Stone that incorrectly insists that boldness and complexity are exactly the same thing. Again, this one is too bullish...and I’m usually the one complaining about lack of flavor. As advertised, chocolate, roast nuts, and coffee are present, as well as a nasty vinegar/tasbaco flavor in the background and finish. Still good on many levels, but you’d expect more from a brewery whose leg gets humped so much and often...unjustifiably.

Black, fast fading brown head.Nose of chocolate & alcohol.Harsh alcohol heat, espresso and bitter chocolate profile, bitter chocolate most noticeable in finish Once again, the alcohol is too overpowering, as with most Stone brews.
