COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stone 13th Anniversary Ale pours brilliant deep red with a light tan foam. Up front, the aroma is all piney, resinous and citrus hops. Upon tasting, the hops are still on the front, and they are balanced with the malty, toffee like flavors contributed from the blend of crystal and amber malts used in the brewhouse. The finish is deliciously bitter, with a touch of warmth provided by the 9.5% alcohol. Bitterness comes in at 90+ IBU.

Pours a dark reddish copper with a three-finger tan head. Lots of citrus and floral hops. Near full bodied with lots of soft carbonation. Flavor is smooth roast, almost brown, malt with a lot of citrus and resin bitter. Quite malty, but there’s a lot of hop bitter to balance. And I think it is balanced. Finishes bitter with detectable heat.

Bottle shared by Danny at the Party source. Poured reddish brown color with an average to large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy malt and earthy hop aroma. Moderate to full body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy biiter sweet flavor to medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met with a complex beer and may become a standout with a year.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of orange, tangerine, melon, tropical fruit, light carmel and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pine, pink grapefruit, orange, light tropical fruit and light tangerine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

A dark reddish brown ale with a thin dark moka head. Nice aroma of hops, licorice, soy sauce, herbal and complex. In mouth, burned caramel malt with soy sauce, loads of c-hops, toffee, light coffee grains and super warming alcohol. Rich, onctuous, and challenging. Bottle from Probstk, thanks Karl.

On tap at the Blind Tiger Ale House, NYC. It pours dark reddish brown with a thin tan head. The nose is Christmas pudding, pine, dark fruits, currants, rum, date and cherry. The taste is cherry, date, fig, raisin, dark chocolate, caramel, charcoal, toffee and alcohol warmth, with a long dry-bitter finish. It has a sticky mouth-feel and is well balanced, making it an enjoyable American Strong.

Bottle, bought Systembolaget, Malmö.
Pours brown, holding it up in the light, it gets a lovely dark red colour. Relatively large creamy to frothy, beige head. Good duration. Aroma is pleasantly hoppy, fruity, peach, grapefruit. Fine chocolate and roasted malts background. Medium carbonation, lovely dryness and fine creaminess. Flavour is rather vinious at first, lots of mild roasted malts, dark chocolate. Heavy dry bitterness in the end. Good piney, light citric, good peach. There is a slight hint of a metallic edge in the dry and warming aftertaste that detracts a bit.
