3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very murky, dark golden orange, almost brown color with slight tangerine edges and a half finger, off-white head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spotty lacing left behind.
Slightly boozy red wine barrel aroma. Very vinous with lots of oak and dark fruit followed by boozy sweetness, sweet malt and earthy hops. Strong alcohol presence with dry toasted oak, red wine, grape and dark cherry. IPA notes are kind of faint at this point with slight earthy pine needle. Lots of ethanol and red wine character.
Slick medium body with a prominent red wine barrel presence. Boozy with lots of dry toothpick/toasted oak followed by subtle vinous fruit, sweet malt and bitter, earthy hops. All barrel and booze up front with strawberry, dark grape, cherry and currant. Sweet malt flavor underneath with sherry like sweetness, toffee and caramel. IPA are present than in aroma but the barrel notes and booze are really strong, slightly overpowering the other notes. Very vinous and boozy with bitter, resinous hops in the finish .

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep gold with a bright white head. Looks clean. The aroma is a super sweet red wine/rose smell. Red wine dominates the flavour - it definitely soaked up those barrels. Underneath that it’s still quite a light IPA, clean and bright. Coats the mouth well and is nice and dense.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really different and tasty. It is far sweeter than the 14th when it was fresh. There is a nearly brandy like aspect to the aroma and flavor. Dark cloudy orange, light carb. Huge flavor a bit too sweet for my preference.
