3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very hazy, light amber color. Aromas of pine, grapefruit. Flavor is the same, with some hints of orange as well. Quite bitter, but not too crazy by Imperial IPA standards. The palate is smooth, but it’s sticky, with a lingering bitter aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle) slighly hazy amber-orange (like dried apricot). Aroma of citrus and resin. Flavor is citrus/passion fruit, light malt and a bit of alcohol.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Pours a light cloudy orange with fluffy white head. Aroma is a citrusy apricot pine. Taste is a fairly complex mix of hop forward grapefruit pine and citrus. I found it to be a smoother drinker for a hoppy IPA. Nice work Stone!

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
if you’ve ever had your hands sticky with pine sap and smelled them, that’s the exact same aroma. Taste is also pin-heavy, but with some citrus and tropical fruit thrown in as well. Another amazing IPA from Stone.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear gold body with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin covering. Lots of fizzy active carbonation visible. The nose is bright and hoppy with a nice fruity quality to the hops. Nice clean bready pale malt base with a little bit of caramel sweetness. The flavor is pretty interesting, quite an unusual mixture of hops, especially for a Stone beer which usually take the big, brash, and super bitter route. Still fairly bitter, but way more hop flavor than bitterness. Clean and minimally sweet pale malt base. The alcohol comes off fairly hot on the finish. Still pretty light bodied given the high ABV, lots of fizzy carbonation, some lingering bitterness. Pretty decent beer, but not exactly my style as far as IPAs go. Still, good to see Stone trying something a little different from their usual.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Has a very citrusy aroma which is complimented by a citrusy taste. Seems kind of like a lesser ruinten, still very good.

Bomber. Clear orange yellow pour with a soapy white head. Big herbal hoppy aroma and taste. A bit syrupy. Mellows out late. Very nice!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Kind of a semi-sweet orange with slight grassy bitterness, crisp, clean, drinkable, not exceptional but very solid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle served in a SA lager glass.
Pours with a durable, well-proportioned white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma: enticing, featuring fruity and herbal hops.
Taste: less fruity and more herbal/earthy than the aroma. Massive and complex hop bill leads to a rich hop profile, but so well integrated the complexity is not at all obvious. Moderately bitter and lasting aftertaste.
Feel: crisp and dry with the high ABV partly hidden.
