4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep, clear gold with a thick, off-white colored head. Herbal aroma with hints of stone fruit characteristics. The taste is unique for a Double IPA; herbal, floral, spicy, peppery and piney, balanced by sweet malt flavors. Some alcohol heat. Finishes very, very bitter and very, very dry. Crisp and medium bodied, with active carbonation, make this a good summer quaff. Overall, a good Double IPA, the use of German hops makes it quite a unique offering.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Golden blind color with a small white head. Nose is spruce, pine, grass, very bright with a nice creamy balance. Notes of vanilla and caramel compliment the hoppy bitterness. The alcohol is very well hidden. Nice beer

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Has a very citrusy aroma which is complimented by a citrusy taste. Seems kind of like a lesser ruinten, still very good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy amber with an ample off-white head. Complex fruity hop aroma. Bright, floral, citrusy hop flavor with a very long bitter finish. Do I have enough knowledge and a sophisticated enough palate to tell that these are German hops? Nope. Do I enjoy drinking it? Certainly.

Bomber pours a hazy golden orange with thin lacing. Aromas of grapefruit and citrus hops. Spicy hop flavor lingers with a bitter finish. Very tastey.

22oz bomber. Another great IPA from Mr. Steele! I love the German hop bill on this one because it exploits a unique sweetness that is often missed when crafting IPA’s. I really enjoyed this beer more as it aired out. The finish was very different compared to other high ABV IPA/DIPA’s in that it produced a malty sweetness that I found myself wanting more of. Well done Stone!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a golden color with a nice white head that leaves moderate lacing. Piney citrusy hoppy scent is intense. Flavors of a lot of hops that hits right up front. Citrusy afterflavor, hops really punch you in the mouth if you let it sit. Very nice mouthfeel for an IPA a little heavier than you expect but works well for this beer. Definitely a worthy beer from Stone and any hop head should seek this one out.

More of a sweet malty aroma than a hoppy aroma. Semi-cloudy golden color with small white head. Definitely a unique hop profile, and I'm not sure how to define it...not citrusy, not particularly piney, maybe slightly floral? Has a sort of lasting mustiness to it.
