COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Super Special Pale Ale. Amber-ish/dark orange color, quite hoppy with a fruity aroma and upfront flavor. There is a hop-bitterness sting on the tongue at first with noticeable malt reminiscent of a sweet pastry, more fruity hop flavors linger and blend into a toasty-malty balance that comes through in the finish. This full bodied ale is placed nicely on the high side of the scale.

On tap at Stone Bistro for RBSG 08. Gold-amber color with a small white head. Aromas of oxidized hops, overripe apple, and caramel. Light caramel flavor with a lingering tannic finish as the once-prominent hops struggle against age. Sticky/dirty palate.

~RBSG ’08~

On tap at Stone. Pours a dark caramel red color, with a fizzy white head and minimal lacing. Sweet caramel malt nose, tea, and slight oxidation. Not too bad though. Flavor is pretty much caramel and some very slight citrus, with some remnants of hops. Soft body, medium sized. Sticks to mouth, and has a slightly bitter finish. Obviously would’ve been better fresh.

On tap at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. Pours cloudy amber orange with no real head. Sweet aroma of hops and citrus. Flavor is spicy and citrusy with a nice under-layer of hops and alcohol. A good beer, but nothing that memorable.

I figured this beer would be dead, luckily I was wrong. Orange pour with a small head. Ligh hop, caramel, and candied sugar aroma. Flavor was similar with some orange hops and other fruity citrus. Finishes slightly watery with medium carbonation.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2009 Peach colored with an off-white head, little retention and lacing. Smell is of apricots, peaches, flowers, and biscuits. Taste is of peaches, apricots, tangerine, orange rind, and some sweet malt. Medium carbonation and lighter than medium body. This beer has held up much better than I imagined it would. Would love to try it again.

Bomber shared with Enzofan. Cloudy golden/orange pour with diminishing off-white head. Big malt aroma, no hop presence. No suprise due to age of beer. Sweet malt flavors. Medium syrupy mouthfeel. This was a good beer, but Iím sure it was fantastic fresh in itís day. Enjoyable none the less.

22 oz. bottle via trade with jsquire - Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and fruity esters. Flavor is a sweet doughy toasted malt and esters. Still has some bitterness and hop flavor. No lingering aftertaste. Medium to full body. A pretty good beer 4 and 1/2 years later. Thanks Jeff.
