Draft - Lots of woody notes and some soured malts. Clear gold with a nice white head. Tons of Woody notes and a touch of sourness. Sourness isnít really sour but not sure how to describe it. Very Woody.

Sampled from the tap at El Bait Shop. Pours a clear amber orange with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of light fruits with some grain, a bit of oak and a light bourbon note. Flavor has light fruits and grass up front with grains in the finish as well as a dry oak finish.

This beer is rose in color and maintains a big, dense, white head. It smells very sour. The palate is soft and tastes like vanilla, cream, red wine, and plums. If I didnít know any better Iíd think it was a sour aged in French wine barrels. Either way, itís awesome! I love BPAs and sours and this one has both characterstics. I suppose itís plausible that the vanilla comes from the whiskey barrel... just thinking.

Draft at the Lackman from notes. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, wood, some mild yeasty/bretty funk, I agree with others that the aroma was better than the flavor with this one, I am glad to have had a shot at this.

Hazy gold color with no head and minimal lacing. Aroma and flavor have string yeastiness and light butter hops, great strong balanced bourbon notes, an a slight alcohol presence. Very good overall

On tap at Taps. Pours a reddy brown color with a bit of head. Sharp aroma of spirits. Sharp on the barrel and spirity flavor too. Hath alcohol. Struggling to drink this.

(draft @ Avenue Pub - New Orleans, LA) Cloudy orange with a thick white head. Mild bourbon in the aroma. Predominantly Belgian yeast and some light spice and hops. Flavor is very solid though. Lots of good pale ale and spicy yeast notes with a definite underpinning of the barrel.

Pour on tap at Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest, hazy orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of oak, lemon, some biscuit into a bit of vanilla, hints of orange peel into a bit of spice. Taste was a mix of orange, lemon into some oak, vanilla, touch of chemical into a bit of biscuit, finishing slightly bitter. Ok.

Very nice...but I feel like itís a battle between bourbon barrels and hops. Not that thatís a bad thing... Iíll take a front seat, but thereís a lot going on.

On tap @ Public House Temecula. Burnt orange pour with a small ivory crown. Lots of complexity that included oak, vanilla, and a hint of bourbon accompanied by candied citrus, pith, and rind. Pretty solid!
