Meh. Compared to the better Scottish style beers out there this is kinda’ weak. Compared to all the micro-Scottish styles that are too watery and boring, this holds its own. I’ll drink it but won’t buy it.

Had this on tap at a concertgoers game. I was very surprised. Thin fast disappearing head, light in color but what a great taste.

3.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the cellar......pour copper with a slight head. Sligjt malt aroma, yet would be nice to have more. Good light roast flavor with just a hint of bitterness. For me,a very drinkable beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber orange with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of malts with notes of bread, straw and hay with a hint of light fruits. Flavor starts with sweet grains and hay with not much else. A bit lacking.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Glass at the brewpub. Pours a beautiful copper color with a small white head. The aroma was mild and indistinct with some caramel and dust. The taste was mostly bland barley and some caramel malts. The palate was thin and unremarkable with soft carbonation. Finished short, dry and disappointing. Overall: Poor excuse for a Scottish ale.
