mcjay (463) - Neenah, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 11, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Dark with vanilla aroma. Strong coffee flavor with a little burnt/roasted malt but the vanilla is a little absent in the taste. A little sweet, a little bitter, not bad.

esjaygee (3903) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 7, 2008
On tap at Stone Cellar brewpub. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Holy vanilla, overpowering on the nose with some coffee and roasted malts mixed in. I like. The vanilla in the taste is a little dialed down from the aroma but still pretty strong. Roasted malts and chocolate accompany the vanilla leading to a medium bitter finish. Solid vanilla concoction.

Tastey beer! Pours a thick black colour with a full tan head. This brew made any sort of taste prior to the first sip, vanish immediately. Sweet, enticing creamy and lots of similarites between this and a specialty coffe drink.

heemer77 (5096) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. The body is black with a light brown head. The aroma has lots of vanilla and milk chocolate. The taste has plenty of hot chocolate with some marshmellows mixed into it. Well made.

Fresh from the Stone Cellar Brewpub. Pours a dark black with a long lasting dark golden head. Aroma of roasted coffee and vanilla. Tastes of roasted coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and grain. Good stout.

CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a wispy-lacing dark tan head. Lightly sugary sweet dark caramel and roasted malty nose with some vanilla character. Body starts with some candy sugary vanilla and dark caramel and chocolate malts among foamy carbonation and bitter roasted malt toward a drier, lingering bittersweet chocolate finish. A pretty nice stout.

hopdog (8773) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2007
On tap at the sone Cellar Brewpub. Poured a dark brown color with an smaller sized tan head. Aromas of stronger vanilla that drowned out the other aromas (good thing I like vanilla beers!). Tastes of vanilla, with some roast and very light bitter chocolate.

Odd nose of cream soda. Dark brown/black body with cream head--stout? Rounded nuttiness, vanilla, something lactic and a bit chalky in the finish. Thin around the mouth. Interesting anyway.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. A black beer and on the thin side for palate. The aroma is nice, unmistakable vanilla, very pleasant and it is not like syrup or sugar. Flavor is mild, dominated by vanilla that is probably more from the aroma than the flavor. Lightly smoked grains as well. Not as sweet as Breckenridge, but quite nice.
