Bottle. Dark brown with a decent head and little bit of retention. Vanilla and sweet malt in the nose. Medium bitterness, coffee, vanilla, roasted malts. Light to medium bodied. Tasty beer.

Tap at the brewhouse. Very dark brown/black pour, no head really. Nose is all vanilla extract. Thinner palate. Taste is kind of bland - vanilla is not as strong as it is in the aroma.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of vanilla that is backed by roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is full of a real nice vanilla note that dominates but is matched by a bit of dark chocolate and roasted malts.

Glass at the brewpub. Pours a nearly opaque black color with a small tan head. The aroma was of over-the-top vanilla and coffee. The taste, like the aroma, featured vanilla and sweetened coffee. The palate was full and smooth. Finished long with lingering vanilla. Overall: Way too much vanilla in this for my taste--this was vanilla bomb. I could not finish it.

(Draught) Pours a black body with a medium creamy beige head. Aroma of vanilla, yogurt, chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor of vanilla extract, roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate.

Pours deep brown almost black with tan head, aroma is roasted malt, some coffee, and a nice dose of vanilla. Taste is a touch of roast and coffee up front, leading into a big vanilla middle with a touch of chocolate, finishing a bit bitter and sweet. Very nice vanilla brew, or do I just really like vanilla...either way it was great.

On tap at the brewpub, pours black with small off-wite foamy head. Smells like root beer. Taste is also of root beer, with some vanilla, coffee, and a chocolate finish. Thick and smooth, one of my favorites at the brewpub.

Cloudy dark red pour with a nice chocolate nose but an artificially sweet flavor, difficult to overcome.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark with vanilla aroma. Strong coffee flavor with a little burnt/roasted malt but the vanilla is a little absent in the taste. A little sweet, a little bitter, not bad.

On tap at Stone Cellar brewpub. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Holy vanilla, overpowering on the nose with some coffee and roasted malts mixed in. I like. The vanilla in the taste is a little dialed down from the aroma but still pretty strong. Roasted malts and chocolate accompany the vanilla leading to a medium bitter finish. Solid vanilla concoction.
