hopdog (8521) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2007
On tap at the sone Cellar Brewpub. Poured a dark brown color with an smaller sized tan head. Aromas of stronger vanilla that drowned out the other aromas (good thing I like vanilla beers!). Tastes of vanilla, with some roast and very light bitter chocolate.

CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a wispy-lacing dark tan head. Lightly sugary sweet dark caramel and roasted malty nose with some vanilla character. Body starts with some candy sugary vanilla and dark caramel and chocolate malts among foamy carbonation and bitter roasted malt toward a drier, lingering bittersweet chocolate finish. A pretty nice stout.

Ughsmash (7005) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 27, 2006
On tap at the Brewpub. Beautiful deep mahogany pour with a very well-retained yellowy-beige head. Aroma was a fresh vanilla bean explosion & very sweet, with light chocolate and oats if you dig deep down. It was hard to get past the vanilla in the flavor, too... but some roasty milk chocolate and lactose were there to be found. Exceptionally smooth and creamy across the palate. Well-crafted brew... but too sweet and vanilla-ey to drink very much of it.

crossovert (6352) - Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2012
A solid vanilla stout. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium to low thickness, kind of thin but in a good way (like all WI stouts) Tons of vanilla.

deyholla (5972) - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA - AUG 24, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of vanilla that is backed by roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is full of a real nice vanilla note that dominates but is matched by a bit of dark chocolate and roasted malts.

arminjewell (5717) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 20, 2010
Pours deep brown almost black with tan head, aroma is roasted malt, some coffee, and a nice dose of vanilla. Taste is a touch of roast and coffee up front, leading into a big vanilla middle with a touch of chocolate, finishing a bit bitter and sweet. Very nice vanilla brew, or do I just really like vanilla...either way it was great.

BVery (5616) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Tap at the brewhouse. Very dark brown/black pour, no head really. Nose is all vanilla extract. Thinner palate. Taste is kind of bland - vanilla is not as strong as it is in the aroma.

Skyview (5109) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - APR 17, 2007
Last stop during Wisconsin Tour #2 was at the brewpub off Oneida. Pours an opaque very dark brown with an off white/yellowish head. Lacing is very good. Aromas picked up are multi-grain bread, baker’s unsweeten chocolate, oatmeal and (of course) vanilla to the extreme. Hop presence is hard to pick up but it was more sweet hops than bitter hops. Taste is smooth with some roasted grain finish. A very interesting brew but worth picking up a 64-oz growler.
