Keg, Brewdog Leicester. Golden brown with an off white firm foam. Toffee, brown sugar and rye with smoked wood. Raisins with sweet bourbon and marzipan. Some citrus bitterness. Really smooth and easy drinking with a peppery heat to finish.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet, fruity, piney hops, caramel and a touch of wood. the flavor was bitter, tangy and malty with notes of coconut, pine and strong bourbon. Long bourbon, wood and pine finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Murky reddish-brown with a small tan head. Aroma is oaky roasted malts, toffee and some darkfruit. Taste is strong oak, toasted malts; bourbon/alcohol and bitter hops. Maybe some vanilla notes as well. Oaky, slightly burnt finish. Grows on you - a very solid strong American.

bottle. clear ruby with small tan head. aroma is sweet, red fruits, not too much bourbon. flavor has lots of brown sugar, wood, bourbon, and toast. low sweetness level, lots of flavor, a well attenuated dry finish and a medium light body. awesome.

12 oz. bottle. Poured a dark mahogany brown color with a touch of ruby. Off-white head. Aroma is that of Oaked Arrogant Bastard, but with a solid character of bourbon. Oak and vanilla are included. The flavor is smooth, and creamy, though the bourbon is a bit harsh and doesn’t blend nearly as well as I would have hoped. The beer is surprisingly thin at times, making it easy to drink, but tasting not nearly as robust as I had hoped. The bottle was only about 3 months old, so I’m not sure if I drank it "too late" or "too early". Overall, it was tasty enough.

Bottle. Dark mahogany with a very thin ring of off white head. Aroma is caramel, bourbon, raisin and brown sugar. Taste is light pine and bourbon with a strong vanilla base. Full sticky mouthfeel, long finish, moderate carb. Really good.

Bottle (12oz $3) reddish brown with little head. Aroma lightly roasted bourbon. Taste is caramel and light sweet bourdon with some bitterness in the end. I preferred this over the other Arrogant bastard ales.

Bottle, 355ml. A dark mahogany beer with a medium size brown head. Aroma is of citrics, caramel, sweets and of course bourbon. Taste is bitter with a sweet alcoholic finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and some astringency. Another great beer from Stone.

Bottle 355ml. Clear reddish mahogony with a frothy tan head. Musky aromas of roasted caramel, citrus, bourbon. Robust bodied with moderate carbonation. Intensely bitter, with a heavy alcohol finish. Impressive malt character and complexity. A fine ale.

Keg at BD Aberdeen. It pours clear ruby with a small off-white head. The nose is soft, woody, sweet bourbon, toffee, dark fruits, oily and fruit cake. The taste is smooth, rich woody action, leather, varnish, resinous, alcohol boost, oily and earth with a warming finish. Medium-full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Very, very woody. Not bad, but I had hoped for more....
