Immy (1902), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2009 Bomber. Yep, it’s an IPA with Belgian yeast, Stone style. What more is there to say? Tasty, but not stellar. TheBeerGod (3026), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2009 Updated: Jun 30, 2009Bottle. Orange amber pour. Short white head leaves spotty lacing on the tulip glass. Aroma is big floral hops, citrus oils, orange peel, sweet malt, yeast notes and light spice. Almost some ginger as well. Taste is strong floral hops, citrus juice, orange zest, yeast notes, light caramel, sweet malt and spices. Body is medium with a full carbonation. Ends with more flowery hops, orange peel, grapefruit juice, yeast and sweet malt. OK, but not really my cup of tea. Goblincat (347), Westland, Michigan, USA Jun 27, 2009 The pour is golden-orange, with a floral, grapefruit, hoppy aroma. The taste has a medium hops bite, with a flowery, alcohol, and not real exciting yeast flavor. Sadly, this didn’t impress me very much. I might have been expecting too much from Stone, though. JonnyC22 (159), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Jun 25, 2009 Floral, very floral. Tastes like grapefruit and azaleas. Probably nice with cheese. Alcohol not very well hidden. nerdrocker101 (57), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 25, 2009 A orange-golden pour with a lingering thin white head. A citrus fruit and floral aroma. More citrus fruits in the taste with some sweet yeasty notes and lite spice on the back end. This is not the big brew I expected it to be, but it certainly doesn’t disappoint. baraciisch (131), USA Jun 24, 2009 Yellow orange in color... Aroma of floral and citrus hops... Flavor has a distinct Belgian flavor of citrus and yeast like a blonde, but a nice crisp flavor with a gently bitter finish... Like the style.. Very intrigued.. matt20102 (6), Michigan, USA does not count Jun 21, 2009 Pours copper-gold with a thick, lasting head. Aroma of grapefruit and citrus. Taste of bitter orange and grapefruit (cascade hops) but not overpowering (like Ruination). By flavor, it’s unmistakably a Stone brew but is generally quite pleasant. Well carbonated but without excess carbonation- this beer would pair very well with a burger and fries. Ron (889), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 20, 2009 Pours copper with a thin white head that sticks around. Smells of citrus, fruity, melons, some soapy hints. Flavor of citrus and some underlying earthiness and a light spicy finish. Some IPA’s are alittle too hoppy for my taste, but this one is so different that I really enjoyed it. Thanks JB.
