Reminded me of a thin tripel. Nice dry white peppery finish. SuzyGreenberg (1324), Seattle, Washington, USA

Nose of phenolic esters, hops, a bit of sweetness. Flavor is more of the same, with a rather thin mouth feel. Wish I could have tried a fresher bottle. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2008 This poured a deep golden in color and had aromas of citrus, yeast, candi sugar and flowers. In the mouth it was medium-bodied with the hops showing through in the slightly dry finish. ghawener (953), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2008 Bottle: Interesting mix between a Belgian Ale and IPA, less hops punch with a heavier malt presence. Still better to keep the two styles separate. fakepurseninja (777), Washington, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2008 Could not imagine how a person could not enjoy this beer. Was not sure how the belgian yeast would work with a strong IPA but this drink did a a great job of melding the best qualities of each style. Big fruity, belgian, hoppy nose with a strong malt profile and great hop lineup. Soft grapefruit and pine notes that are attenuated by the fruity, slightly spiced yeasty component. Convinced. branspra (217), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange color with a smaller, white head. Aromas of citrus and grapefruit are everywhere. Mouthfeel is oily and think with a nice duration of flavor. Grapefruit aftertaste is unique but overall an enjoyable beer. jasonp (1509), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2008 22 oz bottle. Pours an extremely clear light copper with a white head. The aroma is dominated by the belgian ale yeast which is clovey, fruity with some citrusy American hops coming through. Flavor starts with a pale malty base then clove, banana, grapefruit/citrus and a tinge of something like cedar. Well-balanced and very drinkable, not that bitter actually. Has some lingering grapefruit hoppiness. Medium, quaffable body but I would have preferred more carbonation. Overall, enjoyable.
