3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bam! Orange and lemon peel punch to the nostrils. Quite pungent citrus aroma, with a touch of yeast, obviously. First sip was a little surprising; this brew is a thinner body than I was expecting. Not weak and tenuous or anything, but I was expecting a thicker feel. After the citrus and yeast, the brew is grassy and floral. Make no mistake, this beer is Californian before Belgian. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the appearance. Decent head that recesses into a bit of lace, but the color is a real unassuming, light amber color. But you know, who cares, it’s a beer, not a mural. Delicious brew, and worth the price of the bomber. Nothing breathtaking, but tasty.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a long lasting frothy one-finger white head, nice lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, citrus, grapefruit, yeast, spices and herbs. The taste is quite Belgian-like, the spicy yeasty malty flavours are stronger than the hop character in the beer, which is slightly herbal and slightly fruity/citrus. I think it works nicely together though, it’s a well executed blend, closer in style to Belgian I’d say.

Pours a clear golden with a nice head and some lacing. Aromas of ripe citrus and bready malts, some banana. Interesting blend of flavors and somewhat astringent. OK, but not what I expected.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Pours pale amber, thick white head. Aroma of sweet malts, melon, lemon, grapefruit. First sip of citrus fruit... big. Hints of pine, orange peel, cereal. I didn’t find it to be sweet. But I did find it to have a great smell.

Bottle from Donaghy & Sanderson in Pitlochry. Clear light gold with champagne-like carbonation and a fluffy white head. Pine hop aroma with spicy yeast. Slightly prickly mouthfeel and a spicy bitter pine hop finish. Nice for the style.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 6-27-16. Bottled 04/10/16. Pours a clear bronze with a small amount of beige head. Good, dry, Belgian smell. Floral, caramel, herbal, and paint-like aroma. Scents of basil. Dry, hoppy flavor. Herbal taste. Spruce, potpourri, and even some milkiness. Peach sweetness, but the dry, herbal hoppiness definitely dominates, for the better for the beer. Lively and smooth in the palate. Medium to full body. Really good and likable. The Belgian and IPA elements gel really well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden hue with thick white head. Funky Belgium nose. Dry bitterness of the yeast plays well off the malt sweetness. Not much hop flavour but enough interesting stuff going on to make this a lovely beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Big grapefruit, citrus, resin and pine, noticable fruity estery yeast character with some spice, complex, layered supported by a well balanced malt backbone, ABV noticable but not boozy.
Hazy golden colour, big white head, good amount of lacing.
The lovely assertive Stone bitterness envelops the tastebuds, leaving ridiculous amounts of grapefruit and resinous pine, the malts are there just to carry the hop onslaught. The Belgian yeast strains leave fruity estery and spicy notes that go together lovely with the other components of the beer.
Medium body, slick mouthfeel, average to soft carbonation, bitter, yeasty and lightly warming finish.
