4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Excellent brew, a good marriage of what you would expect in both the IPA and a Beligian. Pours slightly hazy gold with minimal head, the carbonation is crisp, aroma is floral, earthy, taste is citrus, smoke and bitter.

Draft @ beertemple. Aroma of sweet yeast, a bad omen. Tastes very sweet as well unfortunately, with lots of Belgian yeast ester, some grain and only faint hops More like a Belgian blonde. Bummer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle@home, from Whole Foods Market, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong aroma with Belgian style wheat, yeast and some banana. A hint of sweet fruits. Golden color with small white head and clear liquid. Medium, balanced taste with yeast, wheat, hops, some banana and fruits. Medium taste spectrum and long hoppy aftertaste with sweet malts and some yeast. Light/medium palate with medium/light carbonation. Overall, superbly implemented Belgian styles, though could have a bit more IPA nuances.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Sweet candied aroma from the Belgian yeast gives way to a blend of citrusy hops. Alluring aroma of sweetness and hopiness.
Appearance: Pale Golden. Clean and clear. Sparkling. Frothy head when poured from bottle into glass settles nicely and leaves great lacing.
Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter. No sour at all. I’ve always loved how the hops in this beer cut right through the sweetness from the Belgian Yeast.
Palate: Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes dry and quick.
Overall: I always enjoy Cali-Belgique when I opt for it. This beer is also a great example of how much influence on taste/flavor/aroma a chosen yeast strain impacts on a beer. For what is otherwise Stone IPA and fermented with a Belgian Yeast strain, this beer evolves into something completely different while still being recognizable.
Is a great option for someone beginning to dabble in hoppy beers as the Belgian yeast in this beer works wonderfully to balance out the flavors.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into a chilled glass. Vibrant golden color for an IPA. Medium aroma with the Belgian yeasts and hints of spices very evident. The aroma compliments the flavor in the sense that I wasn’t surprised of how it would taste after the smell. Medium bitterness, drinks like a beefy saison that I thouroughly enjoyed. Clean, crisp and delicious IPA to drink during the warmer months.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: Belgian yeast comes through strong initially with lots of spice and balanced out with floral and herbal hops
Appearance: Gold color, with excellent clarity and decent head retention
Taste: Light malty cereal notes, strong notes of cloves and light banana, balanced out with a slightly hoppy finish.
Palate: Flavors of clove and hops linger a decent length. Light mouth feel due to a light malt bill
Overall: Solid beer, not surprising from Stone. Light body allows yeast flavors to flourish with a great hop bill for the finish

Enjoy By date 4/25/16 on bottle. Pours a golden, clear color like Stone IPA. Hoppy, citrus nose. Minimal clove & banana flavor. Beer is very good when fresh.

golden body with a very good white bubbly foam with great retention.it smells hops, yeast but nothing complex or unforgettable.the taste is bitter with a good balance from the strong backbone of the malty sweetness.you can trace dark fruits at the taste.it leaves a bitter long aftertaste.you can sense the alcohol but it isn’t intruding.

Bottle 75cl. Slightly orange Pilsener color, large stable head, beautifully centred carbonation. Aroma: nice summery fruitiness with lime, pineapple, lemon, wheat, light banana, medium bitterness that reminds of radish. T: crisp, refreshing fruity bitterness, light to medium exotic fruit notes. Medium to large bitter development, cucumber, lemon, some lime. Aftertaste is equally bitter, dry. Belgian Blond with a nice fruity lacing.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bright light-colored orangish/yellow with an tannish yellow hue. Illuminating clear. Frothy white head, sits well. Complex, cane sugar, green gummy bears, ivory, lavender hand soap, rich citrus hops, pear like fermx aroma. Drinks and feels more like a hoppy Tripel. Lingering taste of candi sugar and resiny hops. Love.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice belgian-style IPA. The belgian yeast strain isn’t as sweet as a lot of others I’ve had. That, combined with the hop flavor, gives it a dry (but pleasant) finish.
