COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When reading the name “Stone Cali-Belgique IPA”, “Cali” hints that it is a California style IPA, and this brew has an undeniable Belgian influence, indicated by the word “Belgique” (which is how Belgium’s French-speaking population says the word “Belgian”; the Dutch speaking Belgians say “Belgie”). We carefully selected a Belgian yeast strain that illuminates a fascinating new aspect of the beer that is otherwise quite simply Stone IPA.

The result is both completely new and different, while still being recognizable as a Stone Brew – and Stone IPA in particular. Think of it as an otherwise identical twin to Stone IPA that was raised in a Belgian culture. Literally.

Light copper body and wonderful ivory head in retention. The aroma is undeniably STONE IPA, but a twistÖ. Spicy esters, mango, guava, grapefruitÖ the dry-hopping is SO fresh and aromatic that itís near euphoric! Yet the phenols are a bit shrill. The flavor is tropical fruit and citrusy zest. Sticky palate, AhhhÖ. Iím in love!

Bottle from ipa sampler. Nose is hop and flower. Pours clean and light. Starts with dry hop taste then some floral and banana sweetness. Not bad but not amazing either. Like their other iPas better.

Glass: Dogfish Head signature.
Appearance: Crystal clear vibrant amber body with a sparkling body. The head is frothy, a bit rocky, with a very light tan hue.
Aroma: The aroma is pleasant, a bit restrained though. Lemon is prominent with light yeasty phenols, sweet mango and apricot jump through on swirling with some honeydew as well.
Taste: Nice blend of light malts, honeydew, lemon, mango, peach, and orange zest along with notable peppery phenols. Dang this drinks great.
Palate: Full-bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: This is a surprise, I donít even generally like Belgian IPAs. This is a cut above any Iíve had, the yeast is restrained enough to not clash with the west coast hops. Dang.

On tap at BrewDog Dundee. Poured golden/amber with a white frothy head. Aromas of grass and slightly piney, with almost fruitiness about it. Tastes resiny, grassy, (maybe even a bit floral) with the feel of a Belgian ale. Absolutely blew me away!

650ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki, courtesy of Konstantinos. Unclear golden color with off white head. Hoppy aroma, grassy, citrusy, light pine, light spicy and some yeasty notes when it gets warmer. Sweet, heavy bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium body oily with soft carbonation.

12oz bottle pours a clear dark yellow color. Getting some banana, biscuit, malts, and hops in the aroma. Tastes fantastic with the bitterness of the hops balancing out the sweetness of the fruits. Lightly carbonated and quite drinkable. Smooth on the palate with some bite. This belgian-ipa really hit the spot for me and I thoroughly enjoyed this offering!

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle, thank you Dannysir. Aromas of malts and slightly of alcohol. A nice crisp flavor of malts super light, great taste! Slight flavors of hops towards the end.

22 ounce bomber. I love Stone beers but this is the 1st time I’ve had this one. Tastes fruity, hoppy and refreshing going down then a huge bitter fruit aftertaste then the dryness. I couldn't find a date on the bottle. To be fair, I would like to try this fresh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden, lots of carbonation, an inch and a half of soft off-white head. Luscious aroma: grapefruit, sweet fruits, pine. Interesting flavor. Citrus, light banana, light bubblegum, floral hops.

Draft. Clear bright gold. White head. Yeasty. Pepperyness balanced out with sweet. Fruity. Everything plays nicely. A good mix.
